Default Just some of how McCains supporters really feel...
It's funny how confident they are in their own guy... FYI, "its over".

Talking Points Memo | Oy ... Live Mics Are Such Dangerous Things
In fairness, I think it's stretching it to describe (Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter) Peggy Noonan as a "McCain supporter." Mike Murphy, on the other hand, is a former John McCain adviser, as well as a Time columnist, and MSNBC contributor.

Still, I think their assessment is shared by a lot of people both within and outside of the GOP. The orly people who are celebrating Palin's nomination are the same radical Christianists who will scare off the independents and Democrats that McCain need to win.

That's not true at all, ElBarto. There are conservative Libertarians just like me who are whooping it up in support of Sarah Palin right now. We LOVE what she's done in Alaska to the good-old-boy network ... and we want her to do exactly the same in Washington. Like I said in another post ... be afraid, be VERY afraid.

Thought so ViReed, did not want to let you down mate
But my 'work of the day' is not done yet, hang around, I'm sure your ignorance will piss me off again!
Either way, if you are in Cali I would not be opposed to meeting and having it out over a J or 2

Here is Peggy Noonan's explanation:
Quote:
In our off-air conversation, I got on the subject of the leaders of the Republican party assuming, now, that whatever the base of the Republican party thinks is what America thinks. I made the case that this is no longer true, that party leaders seem to me stuck in the assumptions of 1988 and 1994, the assumptions that reigned when they were young and coming up. "The first lesson they learned is the one they remember," I said to Todd -- and I'm pretty certain that is a direct quote. But, I argued, that's over, those assumptions are yesterday, the party can no longer assume that its base is utterly in line with the thinking of the American people. And when I said, "It's over!" -- and I said it more than once -- that is what I was referring to. I am pretty certain that is exactly what Todd and Murphy understood I was referring to.

Breaking: McCain beats Obama by 500,000--The Live Feed

My tentative support for McCain was assuming he would select Joe Lieberman. But Sarah Palin put me solidly in McCain's corner. I like her because she is genuine. And I am not the only one.
Quote:
The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain's choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden. Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin’s favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.
