I find this hilarious, but in reality, they are all brothers under the skin, (oilmen). i have to agree with you on the hypocracy of the liberal women's movement. however, people can be critical of her without attacking her personally. many would disagree with her and you on the issues. many would disagree with you as to whether she is ready for national primetime (don't come back with obama isn;t either, cause i would agree).

can't we just agree that both parties want what's best for the country and agree to disagree as to who has the best solution?

Oh, I agree with everything you've said in the above post. But, the politics of personal destruction is alive and well on the Left. Not that it doesn't happen on the other side as well, but not to this extent and with this viciousness.

Try to watch Palin's speech tonight. It should be very interesting. I'm hoping she will set the media straight in no uncertain terms ... but she probably won't. If she does, the media (like they should have done, but didn't with Hillary), will paint her as a "whiner."

Personally, I think even more disgusting personal attacks are coming her way as time progresses. I've heard that operatives in the DNC have acquired (stolen) Palin's Social Security Number and are using it to dig into her credit records now.

the attacks on both sides are pretty petty. as one of the few true independents, i can tell you i have been disgusted equally by the irrelevent and often personal attacks. i don;t think a candidate's daughter is fair game just as i don;t think someone;s minister is fair game.

instead of this crap, i would like to know enough about someone to form a judgement of their character, experience and intentions. i'd also like to know how their actions would be influenced by their party. give me that and i can make an informed decision.

all of the rest of this is noise, entertainment or a sign of a deteriorating society, and depending on how wasted i am one or the other of these options seems best.

I think the daughter is fair game because Palin voted that schools that teach sex education shouldn't get tax dollars. That is what Abstinence only education is. Your school wants funding? You can't talk about sex or any topic pertaining to it.

I think it's funny that her daughter got knocked up. I'm glad her narrow viewpoint came around and bit her in the ass. It just shows that she didn't bother to educate her daughter at home either.

some wise person once said "can't we all just get along?". nothing palin could do would make her daughter fair game, she is a young human being and does not deserve to be used as a pawn in a political game. its not even a good pawn as you;re likely to get more backlash from the attacks than any benefit.

i find no humor in a the personal tradgedy of a pregnant 17 year old. i reluctantly support abortion rights but that does not give me the right to use someone else's pain for my own gain.

in addition to it not being our business, you have no knowledge of the specific situation in her family. even those of us who support birth control would rather our teenaged children not have sex and do what we can to discourage it.
