I sense fear and desperation from the Democratic Party.

obama has two kids but that is a far cry from five.. and im not arguing about how many kids she has... read the topic.. i agree she should be at home in alaska with her family and not in dc dealing with politics. what is she gonna make all her kids leave everything theyve ever known to live in a city with one of the worst crime rates in the coutry or is she gonna split time and ignore her parental obligations?

and my reasons for her being vp are pretty clear.. she cares more about tax revenues than the good of the people which is evident in her decision for the huge 27 billion dollar gas pipeline and she has no form of experience in governing a large population with urban problems or any foreign policy experience... and dont think im an obama supporter because i believe the same about him

and to answer your question ya women should be able to work outside the home but selling insurance from 9 to 5 is way different than being the vp of the usa... get a clue you know thats a very unfair comparisom

Not unfair at all. Work is work. A working mother is a working mother. Your position seems to be unfair by suggesting that a woman should be disqualified to be Vice President just by the virtue of the fact she is a mother.

Do we want our politicians to be elitists with seven houses or regular people who went to the University of Idaho majoring in Journalism? Apparently as long as the people in question are Conservative - neither is acceptable.

Actually, there is a group of "journalists" that engage in speculation and innuendo. It is yellow journalism, in the 21st century, saying these things. Most, are just pissed, because they cannot get working press credentials. So they cite unnamed sources in wild conspiracy stories.

actually your the one who has manipulated my words to insinuate that a woman cant be vp because she has a family and is a mother. if you go back and look yes i do think that she should take care of her family and i do think she is ignoring her responsibilities as a parent but that doesnt mean she wouldnt be a good candidate and have the proper skills to be a VP it just means she is a career woman over all. what i was questioning is whether or not that baby is hers and what that would mean to her CHARACTER and how we would feel about her pre election. and i dont care who it is conservative or not a lie is a lie is a lie liberal, conservative, nazi, or not. your trying to manipulate my words and put a spin on the topic.

and no actually work is not work. working at a construction site takes an entirely different set of skills than being a computer programmer the only thing they have in common is that a wage is exchanged for services rendered. being a parent and working a regular job has an entirely different set of skills and consequences than being a vice president and having kids... especially five of them.. being a politician takes just as much time off the clock and lots more time off of the clock than a civillian job and if you think differently your kidding yourslef. my grandfather was the mayor of a small town and he spent a rediculous amount of time dealing with problems of the city as opposed to problems in his family.. im sorry but while you do make some good points your argument is not sound.

I'm gonna probably get attacked for my stance, but I guess stay at home mothers are always pitted against working mothers- and there is a bit of tension, I don't care what anyone says. She doesn't HAVE to work outside the home, he husband works as well- she ChOOses to work, she chooses to be away from her children. I'm sorry, but that just kills me personally, I could never do that- I don't need a job outside the home to fulfill some kind of 'empty void' or to feel adequate. Women's rights or not. (how come that phrase is always used to rip apart the family structure, abortion, the reason to not be around to raise your kids) Anyways, Palin seems like a nice women thus far, though the thing that has bothered me the most since McCain announced her as his running mate, and no one has mentioned is that she went back to work 3 DAYS after having the baby, 3 days. With a special needs child at that! Every doctor will tell you that first week being with the baby is critical, that's the most important bonding time.

Michelle Obama has been parading as some perfect mother as well, and that also makes me sick after her choosing to be a working mother then stating that as long as Barak and her were there to tuck their children in, the children could care less where they are. Sorry, but I call bullshit- and personally have little respect for parents who act or think this way.. I have no respect for parents who parade around the fact they are parents like some kind of badge of honor then choose not to be a part of their children's life- I see it as a form of using their children and am disgusted by it.. honestly, I could care less what criticism I receive for my beliefs- that's how I see it.

I addressed the Muslim thing. Obama was born a Muslim. This is undisputed. Therefore not a lie. I also said he converted to Christianity and I said I believed him.

Never said any of those other things and I challenge you to prove otherwise.
