Exclamation H.r. 5842 & h.r. 5843
sooo... im surprised no one has started talking about this yet... so, whats everyones believes?? obviously we all support the bills, but what do you HONESTLY think will happen, when do you think it will happen, and last, how do you PERSONALLY believe the bills should read for the best possible outcome for THE ENTIRE COUNTRY (including the citizens that do not agree with these.) to profit.

O...and if your "that guy" that has no IDEA what i am trying to talk about, then first off, QUIT GIVING THE REST OF US A BAD NAME!!! second, take five minutes out of your day to google and read about H.R. 5842 and 5843. you will be VERRRY excited i promise...

SO LET THE DISCUSSION BEGIN!!!

Congressman Barney Frank - Representing the 4th District of Massachusetts

I don't hold out much hope that legalization on the federal level will happen anytime soon. The only way politicians have of gaining power over the people is to pass laws, especially laws against personal behavior. marijuana laws fall under that category.

Again, as sensible as the bill is, and as much as I'm on your side, I don't see much of a chance of it passing.

Neither does Barry, but he just wants it to be on the radar. This is the first baby step and hopefully it will accumulate momentum and eventually lead to some sort of reform.

Let's not forget the (mostly but not exclusively) Republican douche bags so willing to ignore the science for political expediency.

yes, Redd, i agree with you... and you didnt even start to think about the cotton, nylon, tobacco, alcohol and all other industries that would lobby against this because you kno if and when this passes, the hemp industry will start boomin... but baby steps are the way to go... and this is the first time in almost the ENTIRE prohibition that a bill has even been recognized... let alone co-sponsored by other members
