hey zypher, loving the diaries you have made. It's a shame those quantum boards have been sold out for so long. Seems demand is only going to grow also. Especially with diaries like yours.Particularly impressed with the really fast growth in the first half of flowering.

I was going to ask you how much shipping roughly is and if you have to pay import duty or tax when it comes through customs?

oh yeah also, i am having problems maintaining temps in winter as it is. if i were to switch from hps to quantum boards would it still be worth it or would i need to supplement with heat, I'm talking 18-20 degrees c without heat, the QB would increase efficiency but i'm worried the heat loss would reduce yield more if that makes sense.

@blackmelo Hi there, glad you enjoyed the diaries. Shipping to UK was well under £50. can't actually recall. import duties was only £24.
If your running say 4 x boards in a 4x4 at say 500-550watts your temps will be fine. Running the boards in said area and power is like running a 1k hps as far as yield is concerned, and nice tight buds to boot. I find my plants like 24c lights on and 20c lights off, lights hung at 24inches from the canopy in my own setup. You should be fine.
Cheers

@coreywebster I will be be posting some pics as the grow progresses, got 3 strains in scrog atm in my little cab, had to bin one plant as it had balls. Left me with a hole in the scrog. Will fill that gap shortly and post a few images and details. Just a tester grow to see which of the strains I like best.
Thanks for dropping in always a pleasure.

Day 20 flower - Girls have been heavily defoliated as I was getting transpiration issues with the leaves sitting on top of each other. Plenty of airflow above and below the scrog now. Should do them fine for the next few weeks now.

Medium:
50/50 Canna Coco Professional and Perlite

Nutrients:
50/50 Aqua Vega/Aqua Flores. Yes using Aqua in coco/perlite.
Have 5 litre tubs of each already open so must be used up.

Additives Applied Once per week :

Calcium Nitrate at 3 grams per 20 litres of nutrient.
Epsom Salts at 2 grams per 20 litres of nutrient.

Temps:

Lights lowered a little to about 20 inches from canopy, will see how they respond.
Lights on Temps 23c - 25c : RH 45
Lights off Temps 20c - 22c
Ambient Temps in the house 20c

Will post some pics tomorrow of how sad the girls look after their strip.

Well this looks so wrong with the defoliation but I have faith it will be very different in ten days.

Center Back is where another OG DP will go. It will not be scrogged instead will just let multiple tops use the net as a support.

Dinafem@ Critical Kush

Gap at the back middle will be filled with another plant in the next few days, shit happens when one decides to grow balls. Left me with a lot of the net not being utilized.
Front Left: Dinafem Critical Kush
Back Left: OG DP(1)
Front Middle: OG DP(2)
Front Right: OG DP(3)
Back Right: G13 Labs C99 this one has no balls, but a stretchy bitch and whish I hadn't of bother with the strain.

All just a tester run till I find one I like then It will be a full scrog of the one strain.

Till next time, skin up, chill out....

What's your expected height from floor to top of the colas @zypheruk. ?
I have just moved and looking to have a somewhat more discrete set up than I have been running previous.
I'm Contemplating a low headroom situation! Yours looks pretty damn sexual.

@coreywebster when im scrogging 60/40 indica/sativa hybrids buds usually finish anything from 12 inches sometimes 18 inches above the nets baseline. Some pics below click them for large and you can read the measurements from the tape for the height. Im getting another couple of qb's as I want to run them soft and at same time cover the canopy 100% with as near perfect luminance all over.
The outer shell of the cab is from floor to ceiling, then inner shell as shown. At the ceiling inside the cab their is 2ft of false ceiling where the lights hang from, cables ducting etc is inside that gap, ducting runs out the roof and into the loft where ducting runs to another cupboard in another room, then the filter hangs in the void at the front level with the ceiling.
That black crap along the front is blackout paper to stop light leaks at the top of the doors, need to bin that now, as I have a roll of it that drops down the inside of the doors, when the doors close 100% darkness.
Not finished with the cab yet some little things I want to put in ie flood and drain tray etc. Then clean it all up and repaint.
If you need anymore details just ask.
Cheers

Notice the colour of the qb heatsinks, under side actually is that colour no longer black, must be the leds that cause that change as the fins etc are all black. No big deal but not seen anyone else say about it. Will make a proper frame for the lights once im finished adding more.

It just got more sexual. More going on with that set up than I realised. One of the best cabs I have seen to be fair. :bigjoint:
I'm loaning my QBs to a mate for a few month, I must check the undersides of the sinks to see if they changed colour.

@coreywebster glad u like it, totally silent until you open the doors lol. One thing for sure it is 100% better than the grow cabs costing 1k and up. My first build and I'm well happy with it, alot going on with the design that is not visible, wish I had documented it to be honest, for future reference, keeps myself and the wife stocked up.
Be nice to see u up and running.
Take care.

Day 24 flower - Flowers look to be fattening up a little now since the last update.
They are now being fed Aqua Flores 2 x per day.
Started Canna PK13/14. I reduce the base feed by 0.2EC and add the PK13/14 at 0.2EC. So with everything added up im @ 1.4EC and PH6.0. Will run this now for 3-4 weeks, adjust if required. Will see how it goes.
Grow room lights on temps have now been reduced a little to 24c max, RH 40 I will run these temps for 3-4 weeks also.

Nutrients:
Aqua Flores.
Feed is kept at 23c

Additives Applied Once per week :

Calcium Nitrate at 3 grams per 20 litres of nutrient.
Epsom Salts at 2 grams per 20 litres of nutrient.

Canna PK 13/14 10mm per 20 litres of nutrient. = 0.2 EC (Daily with feed)

Temps:

Lights @ 20 inches from canopy, they seem to be responding well.
Lights on Temps 24c : RH 40
Lights off Temps 20c - 22c
Ambient Temps in the house 20c

That's that for today. Will upload some time over the weekend.
Laterz

Day 29 Flower
(11on/13off)

It's all about the trichomes today. Some seem to be doing rather well, plants from top to bottom including stems and large fan leaves are covered. I think the light schedule has contributed to this a lot. The lights always produce the goods in the trichome department but not as much as im seeing this time round.
Images from today onwards will be taken with the Nikon D500 and Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 for bud shots, and the Sigma 10-20mm F4.5 for canopy and undersides. Sold the canon gear, so until I get the new macro lens for the Nikon these will have to do.
