Beneficial Bacteria and PH up/down

Does anyone know if ph up and down will kill beneficial bacteria? Because I measured my water solution after adding the B.B. and it took the ph up to almost 8.3. Don’t need it drastically changing the medium’s ph lol

Dilute the ph up/down before adding to reservoir if it has bennies in it.
If you see a cloud, you killed.
Add any new bennies as last step.

Agree.

It's simple, fellows.

Just mix the pH up or down into a few cups of water before adding to res. The weaker the solution, the safer!

So I just figured out what everyone was talking about.... when I hear bennies I was always thinking trucker speed we use to pop in school & it made it feel like your hair was growing.
I was thinking why the hell are people putting this in the mix and where are they getting them?
Bennie = beneficial bacteria
Fuck I’m stoned .
