Ill tell you, where I'm from, where its a 10 year MINIMUM no questions asked gaol term if you get caught with an unlicensed firearm, then it can go on up to a maximum of 25 depending what you also did with it if I'm not mistaken, I guarantee you that yes not every criminal will be stopped by this, but plenty of people will. Myself for instance, ive always wanted a gun since I was about 14, but I couldn't/still cant afford the licence. And I wont even TRY to get one illegally, because I don't need ten years behind bars. Sorry if that sounds aggressive lol I just reread that and it does come across a bit 'having a go-ey' but I'm just making a point lol.
