Market it going down fast

Me, I have never stepped foot in a Walmart. I would rather spent a little more and support my local community stores. I’m all about fresh, local, organic, and I’m not alone. Just getting a gauge on how frugal you are, and how important supporting your local community is. Not judging. I’m all for saving a buck, but at what cost to my community is taken into account. I try and stay out of big box stores as much as possible, but it’s getting harder and harder as the corporations take over, Sad!

Ps The only time I buy Patrone is at duty free when I travel.

Itsme.
I also shop at as many independent retailers as I can. I even buy groceries at one of the last independent supermarkets left in this town.
But every once in a while the big guys get me for something. Small retail is in crisis right now. Many many jobs depend on these small stores.
Anyway the internet has given many big box stores a lot of grief and it's getting more so.
They thought they had it all sewn up 10 years ago.
Who said the big never fall. Ask Target Stores that Q.
At least the internet has help many small sellers gain some back. With a nice enough website you can look BIG.

I’m confident legalization will be way too expensive. Bringing new users out of the wood work, they try the legal route and just a matter of time someone tells him “I can get better for cheaper” and were back at 2200lb but we need to wait and se what the micro producer route will look like. If LPs are scooping everything up and paying for it cod, we all might want to hope these CCBO locations succeed.

it will be about having your own stone...and getting it for next to nothing...and enjoying it all the way through.:weed:

No one wants to pay for LEGAL SHIT :spew:when they can grow themselves in the backyard.
Especially the ones who don't smoke more than a gram or two every few months. 8)
ANYONE WHO USES MJ knows what its about.
ANYONE STARTING OUT will soon realize and also know as well.:shock::weed::idea::idea:

Fluence will be my next fixtures, they quoted me $1280usd for 60 spydrx plus , currently using China DE’s, they are 1/3 the cost of Gavita. Vertical integration will be key in the future. Can’t do that with HID.

I'm curious, do you buy these online? Been looking into new lighting sources and everything is so expensive

Oh I meant the China DE's. Are those like knockoffs of gavitas?
Depends on how many you need. If I need lots ($5k or more) I get them direct from China, otherwise I got a local guy in BC that sells them to me for $360, with bulb. They are identical to Gavita and are compatible with the Gavita controller which IMO is essential. You in BC?

AB. If you're looking for 1 then would a controller be necessary? I don't have the grow space but have been looking for something new that's affordable and proven. I always hear about gavitas but at ~$700 for the 1k unit from local shops, I'm opting to look at alternatives.

Try sunstream from Amazon.ca, they are $280 delivered. Non controllable with bulb. I would recommend to upgrade the bulb to Green Power or Ushio when it’s time to replace bulb in a year, as the bulbs are the weakest link in the China lights.

Caveat. I have no experience with Sunstream.

I've had guys test out the Chinavitas and not the same results side by side and so far Agrolux 1000E DE with Philips bulb ($460) and the 1000W Gavitas ($575) are doing the same. Atm Hydrofarm has come into Canada and now we can get Phantom system (Philips bulb) much easier which I think is $410-420. These would be local prices when warranty is easier other wise I'd imagine cost would be about $30 for out of province to make up for any warranty issues.

The Agrolux is not dimmable and only 240W power
Gavita has either the classic non dimmable 240 power series which is about $30-40 cheaper and the E series with can be adjusted with a controller or a switch.
Phantom has both options too.

Be ready to have vertical space as even at 3 feet from the top of the plants, especially clones or smaller plant will they could get shocked by the light from the bulbs. You'd either have to lift the lights up to 5' or dim them when putting in clones or young plants. There is more heat generated and so far seems to be about 10-15% more heat from the DE system and I wouldn't put it into a tent unless you can hook up an AC to it.

I’ve also done side by side, the fixture had no relivence the bulb did. That’s why I recommend replacing bulb with a name brand.

THESE LIGHTS ARE NOT CLONE FRIENDLY. CannaReview is spot on. These suckers are bright as fuck. 3 ft+ min to canopy is a must. I didn’t have much in the way of heat issues switching from reg. Fixtures. Unless you run them at 1150w. 5 ton will still cool 15 fixtures.

Love my gavitas. They get hot. In the summer I’m about 5-6ft away and I have about 4600btu per light with co2. Fans all over. 10ft rooms. Don’t go DE unless it can use a controller wayyy cheaper then wiring up relays.

Had a wholesaler/manufacture sale rep I haven't seen in a while come in today for a visit and were both at the same time So ready to look for new work soon? Then "with what skills, retail management at $17/hr" looool.

He said only growers he knows, that on the coast are moving their stuff are the ones selling to dispensaries everyone else is stuck holding a bag and once the dispensaries are done on legalization shit will really hit the fan in the hydroponics retail/wholesale industry.
