Wooopsy hermie pollination questions for vets

So here I am a normal day going to water my beautiful ladies that are looking so nice wookies at 5 close to 6 weeks and also some more wookies and headband at about 4 close to 5 weeks but today I noticed the wookies has seeds not just in one spot but all over the 4 wookies plants. I haven’t actually noticed any in the headband (I’m sure they are on the way) but noticed the head band after a very close inspection that all of the headband cuts had male flowers on a few lower branches hiding and sure as shit open pollinating

My few questions are
1. Will the seeds in the wookies plants be of any value or can they carry the hermie trait?

2. Is the pollen I collected from the headband any good for pollinating down the line? Will the pollen pass on that hermie trait?

3. Do the buds finish faster now that they have been pollinated? (I know the production has stopped) or so that’s how it’s told)

4. what are my options as far as putting these seeded flowers to use as no patients want medication full of seeds. Hash? Rosin? Oil? Etc or would it be a waste of my time? What would you do if this was your 2nd crop after years and looking to gain atleast what you can out of it? Thanks in advance for any info comments or criticism

If there from Reg seed the chances are they may be feminized,If there from Feminized seeds ,then i would not use them ,Chances are it will have carried over .
Question Two Not sure about.
The Buds will slow down thc production and put all there effort into producing seed.
The Bud can still be smoked,No reason not to still use it Just because they have seeds,But i would ask what they want from the end product and go with that Oil Hash,Vape oil
Sorry to hear this its a bitch had it happen a few times ,Normally with Feminized seeds ,And a few times with Reg seeds,But more often than not feminized seeds ,its the reason i never clone them,at some point They turn the more you clone em .And to be honest i think that the Holy grail im growing may have done it to me ,But checked the rest and they seem ok,Just lucky its happened with a week to go .But i'm not 100% ,on mine ,its just growing crowns they are popping of every where. That is why next week ,They are coming down 9 week .I aint seen no signs of any male sacks on it ,Its just a feeling i have ,either that or it is one strange flowering plant .

1. No expert.but i assume it would be there somewhere

2.if its a stress induced nanner and not a true herm it should produce female seeds.
Its obviously viable so you could save it
How long it last i do not know But i just successfully pollenated a plant with pollen collected last march :) stored with rice in a jar in the fridge

3. Bud production will slow but it will still try to kick out new hairs . Not a seasoned pollen chucker

4 i would think your right with the concentrate

you accidentally pollinated the wooki with the headband

next time remove the male plants to avoid this

if you are satisfied that you have no herm.

grow these seeds out later once dry ...store in freezer until ready to germ

and germ them up

Wookie = (Big Buddy’s Lavender x Appalachia) x Headbandx g13hp & Headbandx Cheech Wizard.

no loss in trying as its you who needs the training

good luck

1/ Headband is prone to this. The fact you have another strain in there that has been polinated will help the subsequent seeds. Some will be fems without issues and some will be herms. They will all show fem hairs first. Male flowers around week 3/4.
2/ Personally now i wouldnt keep the pollen (although i did in the past). It has the recessive herm trait so not 100% ideal for breeding.
3/ The plant will finish faster.
4/ Once the seeds are removed use all plant matter left and extract how you prefer (water/ice bho rosin)...whatever tickles yer fancy. The product normally comes out slightly darker than with sensi...but.it will still do the job.

It happens (has happened to me) just suck it up and move on and always...always check you lower branches.

Thanks to everyone for the timely reply’s and information usually I would have caught this but the last two weeks has been hella busy for me with work etc so I haven’t been able to spend the extra time in the room like I normally would and it sucksssssss!! But we live we learn for sure!

I think I may hold onto a little bag of the seeds to possibly experiment down the road and see what happens or what I might get out of it atleast, the pollen I did hold onto a bag and after some thought well it’s already in the trash lol. I mainly asked if they finish up quicker because to me they do seem further along than what they should be (both strains) the headband went in two weeks after and some of the mid buds are swollen and recessed hairs as if you were looking at a finished plant then others you can tell still have the white hairs in Abundance, thanks for clearing that up for me. As for the finished product I will let them finish so I can atleast get something out of it! I’ll pick the naners as they show and keep up on them also in the morning before lights on I’m going to lightly mist some of the lower branches to stop any free pollen before picking through them. A buddy has a closed loop system and distillation equipment so I’ll more than likely turn it into concentrate.. thanks again for the help in this dark shadowy times

If the pollen came from a plant turning hermaphrodite then it can pass on the trait regardless of whether they were regular or feminized to start. That's not to say that the seeds wouldn't have potential value but when you flower out seed plants from bagseed or known hermaphrodite pollen you have to be diligent about doing daily it near daily inspections of each plant, top to bottom, looking for the first sign of male flowers on your otherwise female plants. You also have to go in knowing that odds are good that you're going to have at least one or two turn hermaphrodite and have to be called.

I wouldn't bother saving the pollen from anything but a rare strain in this situation but you can definitely make hash from the buds.
