My local hydro shop is phasing out cns 17 for the pure blend line. He was still charging retail price 26 a gallon. I offered to buy all the rest of the gallons he has (10-15). He offered me a price of 12-13 a gallon. May be able to haggle a little lower I’ve spent a lot of money there lol. Do y’all think cns is worth the price cut?

Would depend on how long his stock has sat there. How much nutrient you use per year.
Been a few years since I've run the CNS-17 but I ran it with just the Cns-17 bloom ( 2-2-3) from start to finish with just some hydroplex as a bloom booster weeks 4-7. No grow or ripe used. I also experienced some coagulation of the nutrients if stored for a time.

I wouldn’t be able to gauge how long I know a couple look a little dusty lol. I plan on running a 4x4 and 3x3 flood table prepectually all year round. Plus some mothers in soil and any random new strain I decide to get. I’ve brought 3 gallons from him for 20 a piece just to test it out. I’ve read it’s not that concentrated and so far no burn and it’s not as milky and thick as people have said. Didn’t have to do any serious mixing

About the time I stopped running it is when they did a change in the formula so yes, it's not as thick a formula as the old. They also reworked the cal ratio at that time which is one of the reasons I switched to something else.

So do you think it’s worth getting it, and what about the cal ratio that made u change

You'll have to weigh the pros and cons of your purchase. Just realise that it's harder to adjust the nutrient ratios with a single part mix. Wish I could be more help but it's been a few years since i've ran the CNS-17.
