Is this normal?? Its just this plant! I have 4 they are all the same Strain, this one started to turn HERMIE so i cut off the balls and seperated it from the other 3 girls. Maybe its different lighting that i can see these hairs turning orange but i thought that should happen later on in flower its only 3 weeks, this one is under 2700K CFLS 6 of them all around the plant and all the nodes.

Some re-assurance would be great. Thanks alot!!

Ya bro good point it could be any # of those things you pointed out, I was not trying to be rude. I have 3 other girls flowering and the largest one that is doing the best some of her hairs are turning orange and its only a 150 Watt HPS so i know its not heat or anything like that i think it could just be the BREED it is Burmese Sativa here are some pics of my girl....

Its normal, i have had plants do that before, they kept growin white hairs so I don't worry, they ended up just fine on harvest day.

Right on, has anybody ever grown a hermie all the way to harvest before? Just wondering if it will still get me fucked up. Just curious. Thank for the reply!

As for the red hairs 3 weeks in yes that's Normal. As for the hermie............... Well it all depends..........You might be able to salvage a few buds. I dunno. Your gonna have to pick through it.

What if i prevent it from Pollinating by cutting the little balls off every time i see them like i have been doing, if it never pollinates itself it should not take away from bud production right?

I just want to know if anybody has done that or even get a seeded one, and is the smoke worth it , if it does pollinate? (not sure how easy it will be to spot the pollen sacks)

Im growing a hermie till harvest it was my only plant and turned hermie on stress. From what ive read it makes the bud production slow down alot. Since they got pollentated a few days ago they havent been growing well... and for the picking the pollen sacks off...well thats a hard job to make it not pollenate cos they grow so quickly and can be easily overlooked and it only takes one ...Hopefully get some feminized seeds out of it though..

plus if the smoke is crap ill just make a mean as motherfucken cake

I'm almost certain this is nut burn. Hermies will show their signs much earlier in the flowering process. I've had similar issues in the past and have found that by reducing nutrients the plants have sustained a more typical flowering period. Do not over reduce your nutrients though, however, keep in mind by week 6 or-7 so, you should start flushing anyway.

i believe most of the landrace strains, like what swept through the usa during the 60's and 70's, were all hermy prone strains and weed back then always had seeds. talk to some old hippies about their favorite strains they ever smoked, and most will say the weed from back then. thai, acapulco gold, stuff like that. so to answer your question, yes most people have smoked bud that was from hermies and probably didn't even know it. in fact, i guarantee many here have grown those same seeds from a bag of weed good enough for them to save said seeds and plant them, and many of today's elite strains have hermies in their lineage somewhere down the line. so hermy weed should still be potent, potent enough for people to like it enough to grow. sorry for the long answer, i'm baked and my words didn't make enough sense LOL.

even some of the top strains today are hermy prone, i know gsc and do-si-dos are one's i can think of off the top of my head. shit's elite and people love it enough to grow it even though it has this trait.

Find me a hermie free strain and ill make you rich, just assume they are all hermies.

I heard the original haze from sixties was hermie free but myths and stories ill never know.

I would say its a hardwired trait that wont breed and is always there waiting for a newbie to fuck up.

I only have observation to go off ansmd some failed science attempts at finding its genetics, other than that its just a mystery :-)
