I wanted to know your opinions. I am torn between buying the smallest Black Dog Led or purchasing the G8 LED 450. I have compare the two on my own and they basically are a tie in my opinion however I do value this forums member opinions as well.
I do grow in separated tents. Two plants per tent. I will only utilize LEDs to grow so metal halide and high-pressure sodium lovers are respected however I am keeping to my LED grows LOL. If there is any other information you need please ask.
Let's hear all of your opinions and thoughts people! Thank you so much in advance.

Damn! And I thought that my King blurple was expensive @$300 two years ago.
My advice-unless you just like to throw money around it makes MUCH more sense to build your own rig. Way too many simple options that are less expensive and absolutely blow both of those lights out of the water. For your space I'd take a hard look at QB style boards or strips.

I know a lot of people are saying to build... when done right it can save you money and be equal or more affective the only problem is if you don’t do it right and waste a lot of time and money and possibly destroy your plants if you’re going to go that route I would definitely Get with somebody who’s done it before and get ready to sauter

Honestly, the biggest challenge of DIY with boards or strips is building a frame to support it. If you have the mental acuity to follow one wire from end to end then it's as simple as pushing a stripped wire into a connector. It's so simple a burned out hippie like me can do it....

Quantum Boards are legit grow lights. the DIY kits HLG sells are very simple to assemble
check out this video led gardner made on a few of HLG's kits

easy peasy and much less expensive and nice white light no blurple crap.

the 2 board kits they sell range in cost from 325 - 350 depending on which heatsink you need to fit your tent

and the 2 board kits are ready to hang dont need to make a frame

Have you used these? and if so what were the results I’m guessing you’re going to need about 8-9 of them to do what and thousand watt HPS or Comparable LED also what are your thoughts on Cob LED lighting ... sorry for the multitude of questions but you’ve sparked my interest with that video if they’re worth it I’ll go ahead and purchase them for my new grow

I originally used HID lighting with hps and mh bulbs .then did extensive research on cobs and who had what. growmau5 had alot of good info on that but i never pulled the plug on cobs
then a few years ago Quantum Boards hit the scene. and last may 2017 I got 2 135w single board kits and 2 260w double board kits. at the time there was only 1 option on the 2 board kit now there are 3. as of now I can only fit a 3x3 tent and I'm using 4 QB's on 2 heatsinks in there and they are dimmed all the way down, at max power in a 3x3 is way to much power. in a 4x4 or a 5x5 would be better.

I can only speak on what I’ve owned:

I had a Viparspectra 600w that worked but it wasn’t anything special

Now I use a Spectrum King SK400 and an Optic 4 LED and like how both of them perform.

I was looking for a LED a while ago.
Blackdog was on my short list.

I ended up buying TimberGrowlights DIY kit
which is really a plug and play kit with water proof plugs.
all you got to do is mount them to what you want

What were the results and how many watts did you go with?... The reason I went with black dog is because I read so many articles of people pulling extreme amounts of weight from there yield using these products so far I’m very impressed with mine again heat is a problem but If the timber lights were just as good if not better with yield I would definitely transfer and buy them next..Or do a hybrid grow using both
