ok, decided to put up a little update. Temps have been ranging from 60's to like today it' right about 40. It's seems it likes it, color is good, in fav could be wrong turning purple at the tip. It is a female hermided, think it might be pollinating itself which is cool. Time will tell, harvest should be interesting at best. Mother cool thing is it's actually getting trichs..

That’s kool colors looking good
It's coloring is cool, emrald greenish tint all over, one lone main cola stem in the center, would have been a killer cola, most areas still have female hairs along it, plus the male parts as well....the freaky thing is the the actually top of the cola stem is actually turn a purplish color.......

makes me wonder when i dry it and get what i can get, and not stress it to much will it keep the same characteristics as a female without the male....hmmm

this could get interesting

Yup I know I wanna know the end result
your not the only one

i've played with hermies before, just wanting to see there structure and coloring. Most of the time i just give them to a honey bee farmer. Gives the bees something to play with of sorts......

I'm gonna try to get more pics, and give "it" it's water, give it a nice inspection. Surprised that my soil has also help up with this one....

Same here. Lol. It was nice and warm today in North Texas. Tomorrow will be in the 50s. I will also be looking on
it's been good where i'm at too....just had a front blow in, temp are dropping but not to bad, we expect to get light misty rain starting tonight going into tomorrow....so it will have a good watering.....

thanks for stopping in btw

Sweet tits bro
is that a like? "it" is a sweet one...."its" coloring is amazing......

well like i said before i was gonna bring ya some new pictures. "its" a weird one when i inspected it this morning, seems coloration is getting deeper and deeper. The purplish tent is coming in as well. When did my inspection also i found female hairs still going which is an actual surprise...."its" definitely a female (hermie), so by this deduction either i'll have fem seeds, or a 70/30 split in the seed production, if not, welp you can always use the seeds if it produces in different and various ways, this one is really starting to surprise me though.....i like surprises, makes things interesting.....

enjoy..as always if ya have any questions, thoughts..etc etc...let me know....

Yes, i like your experimental spirit! My first run hermied (nanners everywhere by 2nd or 3rd week in flower). I don't think it was triggered by stress, but well could have been. I was completely ignorant to how to water or feed, and think the ladies had a severe mag def.... came out okay, but i had to man-handle the buds regularly to find/pull the nanners. It was an uphill battle and i eventually started find ones inside buds that had already burst and pollinated. I ended up getting a lot of seeds, and we smoked some and made butter with the rest.

I love experimenting, guess its kinda what happens with a bag o seeds. I've had hermies before, just never decided to finish one before now. I think it was it's structure that pulled me to it. Kinda half I did, its definitely surprising me. Trichs are coming in little better now, also that purplish color is showing itself.

sun came out today, so I took a gander at it close. U can see what I'm talking about.

did u ever rerun your seeds, just wondering. The ones u got from it.
Not yet, and also have some of the originals the breeder gave me. The strain was/is called Matilda, from Colorado Springs area.... I'll try to find and post more photos sometime. Anyway, from what I've read, hermie-produced seeds are more or less garunteed to be unstable/pass the hermie gene, and would require cross breeding to stabilize... Would need to be pretty special pheno to make that long-term effort, inho. Still fun though!! :)

welp here is another addon and or update as it were. We've been hit pretty good with the roller coaster weather. I've had "it" inside for a couple of days next to a window, cause of the weather finally we get the range i'm looking for high 50's in the morning and right at 70 during the day. We've have mist rain and cooler temps than that for the last couple of days. So this morning i put it back outside, gave it a quick look over. Think this weekend i've give it a little calmag, gettin those gator tips again, surprisingly enough the color hasn't really changed which is great, and it's filling out more and more. Think i forgot how long since i flipped it for flowering, the guy tells me its getting close, but he plant is still somewhat producing more. Trich's are coming along cause i can see them when i hit it will a flash light.......so it's getting there....

That's the funny thing about thoughts, sometime, just sometimes the turn out to be the goldmine that it really is if you act on them.

hermies do produce seeds, i've read that too, but when you stress a plant out like i did with this one, i have a feeling those seeds will more stable, in some cases they feminize. I've read, that if a female plant is stressed to a point, it's begins the process....or at least that's what i'm hoping with this one anyway. Think i'll see if there theory's are correct, and if they're not....eh no worries....fun playing with them, and watching them grow....

Agreed - I'll probably pop a couple sometime, but just got a bunch of strains from Greenpoint that I'm pretty excited to grow first.. it'll be interesting to see if the Matilda strain doesn't hermie again, now that i know a lot more and won't stress them the same....

WP_20180225_002.jpg this one just got the top, chopped off. Did a h2o2 bath just in case. Put it in the closet, with a fan on it. It does have seeds, surprisingly. Took the main top first to ck. Now it's drying. Lets see what happens. Figure I would put a 5gl bucket under it, as a catch.

got thoughts, comment and or ideas

lets have some fun.
