I have Gold's book and Marijuana Chemistry by Michael Starks too. Always wanted to make the THC Acetate. We used to be able to get that in Vancouver back in the day and it was trippy shit. Almost like a cross between acid and mesc but with a definite THC overlay.

Thinking of doing an isomerization on a batch of oil still steeping in methanol. From old pot I screened for kief so it's fairly low grade and may be a good batch to play with.

I’m going to do all steps in Golds book
Minus the actate, the box just takes up to much room. , but if u ever make any ,
I’ll drive up north for a taste. Never had it before or even seen it , or heard about it till reading that other thread .

To make a perfect glass hooter...
You got to be tuff....
The bigger the bottle the tuffer you’ll need to be.

Get your empty glass bottle
Take masking tape, start at the top under the neck, wrap bottle , till about 1/2-1” of glass at the bottom is left.
Fill bottle almost full of water, leave about the neck empty....
Now Bruce lee time .
On the palm of your hand, the meaty part
Grab that neck, n hit it with the palm hard
If you puss out n don’t break the bottle, cause you didn’t hit it hard enough,
You will hurt your hand a lot more then if it breaks . Action vs reaction

I’d try with beer bottles , before moving to 26s n 40s .
Even when I was good at it , 26s n 40s hurt.

Thougt it was cutted belt lollll.
Nope that’s 4 different types of hash
3 bubbles , 1 old school
I hand press an old school way, so I can make them any shape or size, but I like to press like the pic. Easy to cut with scissors
To get the right size piece you want .

Anyone have any pics of the old hash kicking around?

That would be tough. 20 years ago we didn't have camera phones and we didn't post everything to social media and take pics of everything. Man the times have definately changed. Getting pics developed at the local. Pharmacy was certainly a way to get eyes on you for taking those pictures to begin with..

No shit eh. I was a big photo buff in those days and still have my old Canon AE-1 with a bunch of accessories. Two of them actually and still use them for really good pics of eclipses etc.

Used a Polaroid Land Camera to take pot pics tho and naughty pics of the wife or girlfriends. :)

Have boxes full of old photos I keep meaning to scan and turn digital. Some day but who wants them now.

We used to tie a piece of butcher's string around the base of a bottle, soak in Zippo fuel, light it up and let it burn for a bit then drop a table knife, handle first, down the neck and the bottom would usually pop right off. Or try a glass cutter but that wasn't as good. Five bottles later and you might have one that worked OK. :D

This is sort of unrelated, but in case anyone was thinking about getting a desktop vaporizer...#1 holiday present this year imo, an Arizer Extreme Q, cost roughly $200 CAD and this thing is the bomb, for the money has to be the best desktop dry herb vaporizer around. I am absolutely having so much fun with the bags, its unreal. I almost pulled the trigger on a Volcano at $750 and sooooo glad I didnt. Its a little related as we laugh about how we used to punish our lungs with hot knives etc, then add a few decades of tech...I could never have imagined a machine like this back in the day. very cool.

First time I saw a volcano in Amsterdam years ago I was literally blown away. Talk about a lung buster.. Wow.. So fun. I will have to checkout the one your talking about. Sounds pretty reasonable price wise.

I don’t vape
I bought a Pax3 ($420)
I gave it away , (to a RIU member)
Joints for this guy
Not that I want to be a commercial for vaping, as I really do enjoy smoking joints, but save your lungs man, I should have done this earlier (he now realizes). I had a portable pen but never really worked that well, nothing like the Pax3. Today I have been playing with re-vaping the stuff I vaped from yesterday and thats doable, totally fried right now. Two bags wastes me. I am thinking this will actually make my supply run longer. Starting to wonder if I can cook with the leftovers. #fuckcombustion lol

How come back in those days I could score hash just over the border in Canada but never in my home turf? Whenever I went to Sarnia or Toronto or wherever..I always got decent hash no problem. In the States...hardly ever.

My favorite is old school finger hash. Never seen anything compare. I have only come across one plant out of more than 100 that was capable of making finger hash, and that would be a plant known as Humpty Dumpty from the early 80s.
