WTF!? come on, those people are idiots the line has to be drawn somewhere, i understand they are trying to raise awareness but a store front is more like it and I dont think the VPD is busting those yet unless they sell to minors.

You ever been to Wreck Beach? People have been selling weed and beer down there without a business licence or a storefront for 20 years or more. Notice there were no criminal charges - only the threat of a fine. With our current NDP government stalling on their legalization framework and their history of choosing the option that benefits their union masters over the one that benefits the taxpayer, it's important to stir the pot. Expect more of it, lots more, if Horgan decides to give his unionized booze dealers exclusive rights to sell cannabis.

Cali legalized rec weed November 2016. We have been legally allowed to grow and consume since then, only commercial sales start Jan 2018.

Recreational is limited to 6 indoor plants for personal use per household, medical allows for more. Each city is making their own rules as to what you can and can’t do, but no city can ban growing 6 plants indoor. One city makes you register with police, get a security system monitored 24/7, limit power to 1200w or less and under 10’, other cities aren’t making any rules and letting the market run free to see how it goes and then make up rules if they feel it is needed. Then you get county rules that differ from city. It is all very confusing and is going to fail badly because they are taxing the shit out of it. I can get an oz for $50 today, after Jan 1 if I were to buy from a legal rec shop an 1/8th is going to be $60-$80 depending on how much tax the city is taking above the state.

I have a medical card and so does the Mrs and we are also part of a co-op so between both medical and rec we can have quite a lot of plants, but we still limit our flower tent to 6-8 plants because we only flower for personal use.

vivla THE BLCK MARKET!
This 100%. It’s like Cali wants the black market to thrive, complete opposite of how Colorado went about it. Their goal was the keep prices lower than the black market to try and kill it off. Cali cities and counties are allowed to choose how much tax they add above the state, and most cities that are allowing rec shops (very few, most are banning them) are doing 30-40%. My city is allowing 2 rec stores to open, but there has already been so much corruption and back room pay offs by rich out of staters that no locals are able to ‘pay to play’ so it is already getting a very bad stigma. Every conversation at city meetings revolve around ‘how should we spend all our new found wealth’, counting their chickens before they hatch like usual.

Well our silly government has the same goal with protecting the children and keeping profits out of the hands of non-government organized crime. They have left it up to the provinces and territories to tax away after they take 10%.....same shit different pile.
