Afternoon folks,

Wanted to see what the root system was like from my 20 gallon planter that held my JH. She gave me just under 3/4 pound of some high quality organic smoke!!

What do the roots tell us?

Time to go back and play...

a slice in half with knife thru that soil is always good.. whoops to late now

but you do have minimal swirling of the rootball

that is good no need to potup

but it don't say anything about the quality of the soil

good soil + good light = swirling roots = fast exponential growth

more so it you are new

good luck

ps organics next grow?

Thanks Vostok. What do you mean slice in half thru the soil? I switched to organic a couple years back.

take in a couple of those tv crime-forensic shows will give you some insight

I eject the root ball out of the pot and slice vertical in half

then smoke a cone studying the way them roots have grown

in most cases its highly educational and offers some serious insight into the way roots have grown in the pot

in my own case I'm still pissed my tap root is crooked suggesting my 4 inch germing pot is too short

cheers
