On that old Hawaiian, I could not handle the energy of it and let most of the ounce go. I would take a hit and be up pacing around, no way to sit still. Edges of things shimmered in my vision. After bracing myself, I did around 5 hits and went catatonic for I suppose, a half hour. Felt as though I was under a giant wave that sent me down to the floor of the ocean. No pacing, no movement, no talking, no rational thought, no nothing

So it was too much for me, but I did like the visuals and tripped out aspect. If able to select among the various kinds of Hawaiian, I am sure I would have found one more mellow and easygoing. I am smoking Colombian Gold right now and it has a lot of the trip aspect without the edgy crap. Makes things appear to glow a little, but no shimmering.

I miss that Pua Mana guy. His pidgin English and all. If you talkin like dat on da islands auntie and uncles will give you ass a lickin, haole! I was always wary of him but hopeful that his tall tales were true.

I do know the Hawaiian smoke I had from long ago was psychedelic shit. Made objects appear to shimmer, very potent. Not like the stuff I get here in cali, which is potent but not trippy. I have no idea why they want to grow OG and all the stuff from cali in Hawaii when they had those exquisite sativas already.
I loved growing pure to nearly pure tropical sativas. Some of them had the craziest head trips you could imagine. Not too long ago the least sativa strain I had was 87.5% sativa. They just did a lot better with the north shore climate than hybrid and indica strains. 2-3 weeks of non-stop rain at a time will wreck most any strain that isn't predominantly tropical sativa. I'd still grow them, but a lot of people here nowadays don't know about them and want dense buds. It's pretty hard to move loose flowered sativas. Some of the older heads and a lot of locals know what's up, but it's still hard to beat the looks of some dense budded modern strains so I moved along with the market and don't have much in the way of far leaning sativas anymore either except my Blueberry Haze which is a great sativa. It has an aroma that sells itself even though it's pretty loose flowered and the effect is very uplifting which keeps people coming back for more, but it's not a head trip like some of the older school stuff. If you ever come to Maui and want some crazy head trip weed, hit me up. My neighbor is an oldschool grower and still grows some stuff that would trip most anyone out. And there's still some older stuff around too, like Blood weed, but it's kind of hard to find.

That trippy strain is it a clone only strain? Also I would like to come to Maui.

Well stating authentic Hawaiian landrace genetics and getting genetics of Bush Columbian, Guatamalian and Pakistan mix is just plain bogus. I guess the closest we will ever get to true Maui Wowie genetics will be Swami's Cherry Bomb.
Popped two of these, one out as male, other yet to show her flowers, swami's cherry bomb.

How did those seeds from Pua Mana turn out? I can't find any reviews on them so any feedback would be great. Mahalo
I can tell you straight up, as one other person on this forum has, that Pua Mana Ohana seed bank is a fraud. I have lost $100 US to those people. They even sent me fake tracking numbers for US Post. Would people want US Post to track seeds anyway? I don't know but I wont be seeing my money again.

I’ve been listening from the sidelines here and need to chime in. I was so excited to find pua mana ohana seeds, and get access to some old school Hawaiian genetics. I really want it to be real, and I hate to hear talk of it being bullshit. That said, the proof is in the puddin’. I’ve ordered packs from them twice and all was on the up and up. Fast shipping, one pack showed up empty, which they promptly replaced and included freebies. I popped only 3 tester beans of their kona gold last July 3rd. Only three because it was so late, and my (outdoor) garden was more than full already. A bird ate one seedling, and the other two were a male and a female. The girl grew beautifully. Sativa dominant but pretty fat of leaf through early life to be pure sat. Chopped on Halloween, probably two weeks before I would have liked because of PM moving up stems. Smoke is of excellent quality. High is energetic but centered and easy to focus with. It is the first jar empty from me and my wife smoking daily. I wouldn’t say it’s the frostiest, and the smell/ flavor is pretty pedestrian, but we continue to fill the pipe for the effect. It’s proven it’s worth to try a few more this year and see if a bigger sample group can bring me the tropical terpenes I’m looking for! I’d love to hear if anyone else has popped any of these beans.

WEird, i had a package go missing and they replaced it immediately. My original package showed up a month later too.
Havent grown em out yet so cant comment there.
Umm a LOT of banks us USPS without issue. So you need to pick a different argument there.

I'm sure you got some seeds, but the fact remains...they are not legit Old School Hawaiian Genetics. Just bagseed pollen-chucks from someone that has not lived in Hawaii very long.

Actually the seeds arrived today so I do have to take back what I said. I saw on the net that somebody else had complained of their order not arriving & immediately was suspicious but I can now say that Pua Mana does send seeds. Will just have to see what they are like now.

Hey waterproof 808,
I’m gonna grow out a few more and see what I got. I’ll let y’all know.

I have to admit, I was totally fooled if these guys aren’t Hawaiian. Do you know them or someone who does? Are you sure they’re fronting? I’m just trying to get the info. Thanks.

Just because there's one bad apple haole doesn't make us all bad. Honestly i'm tired of all the white hate, you people are creating a militant class of white male and it's not going to be pretty. Look at what happened to Laird Hamilton - he can't even get along with people his own age from the mental scarring that happened to him in high school on Oahu. I went through it too and it wasn't easy.

As far as red sap strains go - do they do anything else except bleed? Stop breeding for cosmetic novelties - we'll breed for that when we have the perfect high, taste, yield etc.

The guy buys herb from one of my good friends on Oahu. He is not Hawaiian, he is a white dude from Oregon that talks like he is a Rastafarian.
Is that thread still up on icmag.com where pua mana posted fake pics from page one and got called out for it by actual OG Hawaii growers? I saw that thread go down from the first few posts. What a sad spanking from all the actual OG Hawaii growers that was. I'd bet some of those guys would be willing to come join in this thread too.
