There's that cop thingy showing again. We like bacon, but not your kind!
Gotta agree dman...he smells like a stinking worthless pig. Or he's buddies with some maggot officers. He's a taker and user imo..plays any side that he think will benefit him. Just like a filthy cop would imo. Bacon has more value to me than a cop sucker.

Of course most doctors aren't comfortable providing a recommendation for a patient falsifying an ailment. We as a society expect that of doctors, to not only protect ourselves directly but from those criminal elements that take advantage of the medical system.

It is very simple, if you have a legitimate ailment which this can help then there isn't a doctor that won't help.

you are soooo outta the loop....my doc knows my probs...agrees herb will help...but values his rep with the college of physicians and surgeons over his rep as a doc...is the reason I see him once every 6 yrs or so...but...shill away goof!!!

It's pretty strange I've not found a single person outside of this forum who had had any trouble getting access legal acess to marijuana.

I wonder what the issue is with people here.
Exactly. Or being able to for the past 35 years in Canada.

Only those who aren't qualified, such as criminals and medical tourists that seem to have issues and doing all the crying.

I tried since the MMAR came in to get a doctor to sign and couldn't. 6 doctors said no when I have documented chronic depression going back to a 1977 hammer attack that damn near killed me and serious arthritis. My only other option was Skype type docs that charged up to $500 to sign and out of principle, and lack of funds, I refuse to go that route.

Had I lived in a big city like Edmonton instead of way up north in Bumfuck, Alberta I likely would have had better luck but a great many of us don't live in major centers. At least we now have the NDP here instead of the Cons and they have opened the door for doctors to get educated and sign up patients. The doc that just renewed mine told me 5 years ago that pot made people crazy and refused to sign but has sure changed his tune since.

These clinics that charge thousands on a sliding scale depending on the daily limit you want are illegal and should all have been shut down years ago. It's crap like that makes it all a joke in many peoples minds and will mess it up for those of us that aren't in it for profit.

Where do you get 35 years from? The MMAR wasn't instituted until 2001 so there was no legal recourse until then.

These yearly renewals are bullshit too. As long as you have a doctors permission you should only have to apply to grow once then get a doc to sign each year to keep your growing legal.

I wonder how long it's going to take for the rec growers to get their papers processed once thousands of them start registering and how much time that will add for med patients to get theirs.

Stupid, corporate controlled government bullshit!

You could get authorization for medical use and research purposes long before MMAR was put into place.

I applied for that BS in '77 and have my refusal letter from Denise Boucher, Chief, Domestic Control Division, Bureau of Dangerous Drugs from the Health Protection Branch of Health and Welfare Canada right here.

You had to be a scientist of standing to get permission to grow pot until the MMAR came in and very few of them got permission. I didn't get my diploma in chemistry until '90.

You sound like some kid who got his info in the schoolyard yesterday. Are you even old enough to be on here or did you lie about that too?

When the re-legalization happens rec users are going to have to register with HC to grow their 4 little plants according to the recommendations in place now.

Knowing HC they won't hire any new people to process those until there's another long court case about med users right to access and the untimely delays. Stupid system with stupid people putting it in place to protect their corporate masters.

I'm not going to get into another debate about whether to flout the law or follow the rules to avoid conflicts with the law but I'm inclined to sign up to grow legally and take that constant low stress level off.

Off tomorrow for 3 weeks or so in the sunny Okanagan in BC and will decide about filing papers to grow depending on what happens out there. Going to check around for employment opportunities in the cannabis industry. Hydro shop, lab work etc. Who knows.

Exactly my thoughts. Are they going to get warrants for every house to check for plants? It'll only be a problem if the cops are coming in for something else. The law requiring registering rec rows will die from non-compliance. It's just not enforceable, discriminatory and probably violates several charter rights. They can't find 98% of the BM grows now, why would they waste the resources once it's legal. The police focus will be on large-scale commercial bm grows, imo.
