I designed a box setup specific to space I had available. The final measurements of my design came to (0.70cm x 0.70cm x 1.40cm) for those in inches...(27.5in x 27.5in x 51.1in height)IMG_6168.JPG IMG_6193.JPG

IMG_6195.JPG

Built the box in two days and have gone to do some shopping in the mean time. I bought some palm peat, two bricks and two 500g bags of vermiculite. Purchased a laundry tub ( you might ask why a laundry tub? It is low so uses less of my height, also I can drill holes in it. Also got a drip tray for underneath my tub pot.

I know, I know ! I never showed you my light yet cause it was a surprise

Solid fixture Raptor.VI 1000W Veg/Bloom spectrum Blue/Red and some specs invetween UV and IR light equipped.

Power Draw sits between 250-280W so light is bright AF and means business. At this wattage draw I could easily grow a 1 x 1 x 2 meter box as intended ( on ya inches 4' x 4' capability rating of light)

I found some extra polystyrene laying around and made and entire covering all way down to pot level for ultimate reflection to plants ☀

Also made a perfect fit lid for the box BUT had not yet made a Masonite cover to make it solid. Reason I tell you this is cause we have cats and my male cat loves to inspect new heights even at 1.4 meters he jumped on top of the box when I was not there and smashed my perfect lid to entire eternity. Sad I have since then added a Masonite lid for safety from other cat destruction.IMG_6225.JPG

First photo has a memory of the Perfect Polystyrene Lid! Second is a first of my Tub pot.

I'll be back with another post to be continued (10 Pic post rule)

Hello again as I said I'd be back

Continued...

During this whole time I have been trying to germinate some seeds from my other investment. I have had this Amelia 3.0 and LA Confidential pips in a tiny container inside a ziplock packet inside a piece of moist paper towel. I scraped some of the waxy cast coat off the surface to increase absorption rate. Today marks 6 days and the first Amelia 3.0 (Atomic Amnesia) pip popped.

IMG_6227.JPG
Beautiful sprout planted her straight into the bucket medium. This is how I prepared medium.

IMG_6246.JPG

As you can see the little 500ml bottle I used and cut the bottom off to used as a single feeder for entire pot. Only half the medium is prepared at this rate as I'll add more later during veg. While I was waiting for my armored-cased pips to absorb enough water and be kept hot enough from my TB hard drive, I got sooo impatient and picked up some ready seedlings. 2 X Super Lemon Haze 6 x Purple Cheese and 1x Amelia Haze original. They were so tiny, baby Amelia was maybe a week older than the rest but I planted them right into my potting medium in my Tubpot.

IMG_6275.JPG
Little Amelia Haze original is looking so pretty this morning. There are ten in total at this moment. Nine you can count above soil and little Amelia 3.0 beneath coming up for air soon.

Been digging through your past grows, fantastic man!! A fresh change to see some locally grown, high quality bud, the outdoor stuff looked wonderful. I envy being in the position to have some space outdoors, but my neighbours are right on top of me.

I'm based in the capital man! I've subscribed to your thread, can't wait to see more. Been ordering goodies for my first grow for the last week or two - can't decide between using bag seed that's stockpiled or spending even more money to buy some seeds.

I will be honest with you I it is your first attempt at growing use some of the better bag seed. I mean the best indoor you had and a good hard viable seed with perfect round bottom. I will keep you posted I am excited myself placed a bid on some new sunnys With UVA UVB and UVC protection. This led of mine is potent so need to keep eyes squinted with cheap sunglasses for now. Hi again everyone. Been a few days and have seen vigorous growth since last post. Baby Amelia 3.0 is pushing so hard at the moment. IMG_6353.JPG

IMG_6373.JPG Besides this little girl behaving like she should I have been playing with some old beans and pulled a WW pip and two Mango Kush ones and planted them into the soil they are still beneath the surface, I trust they are doing what they where's meant for. Still waiting on an LA Confidential cross seed to pop its lid would really love to grow one of those ladies this first run. I have been tracking growth closely and these ladies are excited to be living at the moment.

Amelia 2.0 has gotten huge and had to give her a hair cut to not another her siblings. IMG_6367.JPGIn fact she has got so big that she reached her 5th intermodal space and my rule of thumb is, ignore the first, count from secondary and cut/top at third!IMG_6369.JPG

IMG_6371.JPG

IMG_6358.JPG Super Lemon Haze looking so symmetrically dope IMG_6357.JPG Purple Cheese smiling for the camera! Be back sooner that later when WW and her Mango friend makes leaves...

Evening fellow Tokers just a pop in to tell you a LA Confidential seed has ... finally popped its lid and starting to shoot a root. These hard shelled beans are incredibly resilient to damage even though I use a blade to carve some waxy coating off the only one that pop was one I used a nail board on and almost but not quite through the beans ridge where halves meet at anterior so not the bit side front side of the bean so that when you drop it in a glass of water Ned this... it sinks right from the word go and you KNOW absorption is happeneing double time to wake that dormant baby up! Thought I'd just run a quick update and show my actual perspective of box and lighting and the current reflection I get from this polystyrene. IMG_6387.JPGThinking of filling that bottom section I left empty in middle of pot area with some more reflection for those lower nodes once ScrOG mode kicks in. I have only topped one so far and want to try the two way method as I have a few ladies in here already. IMG_6386.JPGCurrently there are 13 planted and LA still to go in. I recon the Mango Kush seed may not make it, it got trapped in the shell and had to try free her. Seems like it was a little too late. The cotyledon leaves are still joined and albino shaded whiteout any chlorophyll colour at all. Think roots stopped growing once the "leaves" got no light.

Hi Hello again...

Have been busy and at work today making ready for the next few weeks to come. I made the measurements of the ScrOG net hoops and screwed then in the perimeter of the box 6cm above the top rim of the tub pot. I have not put the string on for the net however because I am still in early veg only starting week three for the original seedlings tomorrow. The Amelia 3.0, WW, MK and now LA waiting patiently for her to pot the surface now being in the soil. IMG_6474.JPGAlso moved the light higher so that I can get more stretch out of the ladies and decrease LUX they are used to before I got into flower (My theory here is that I want the most Intense light when the ladies are in flower and getting more intense as they grow to end of the the bloom stage. ) if they stretch now I can ScrOG them down sooner and veg a few more weeks then switch. Also you can see how intense the reflection is with the polystyrene sides.IMG_6441.JPGAs you can count I have ten ladies that show leaves. I had topped the Amelia 2.0 which was older than rest, three days ago. The smallest; Amelia 3.0 I did not top the other eight I topped last night.
IMG_6443.JPG
Also fixed my extractor fan it's a bathroom extractor fan and is fitting perfectly in the corner of the box. IMG_6473.JPG As I said when I started this post I was busy- even prepared some more medium to add some to tub pot. IMG_6456.JPG
IMG_6457.JPG If you look I have filled it a lot more to where I could having three baby seedlings. In a clock hand description at 12 o'clock is a tiny Purple Cheese; at 11 o'clock is Amelia Haze 2.0; at 9 closer to middle is baby WW and outside her is Super Lemon Haze; at 8, 7, 6, and 5 o'clock is Purple Cheese; at 4 o'clock is baby Amelia Haze 3.0 to the inner of her is where the LA lady is planted; at 3 o'clock is little Mango Kush growing slowly but surely; at 2 o'clock is another Super Lemon Haze and last at 1 o'clock is the 6th Purple Cheese. IMG_6465.JPG
IMG_6468.JPG Purple Cheese showing new nodes after topping yesterday.
IMG_6469.JPG IMG_6469.JPG Amelia Haze 2.0 topped 3 days ago.
IMG_6470.JPG Super Lemon Haze new node growth. Will be back when I have more to talk abt. Peace ✌

Morning all :bigjoint:bongsmilie

So I've been busy again can seem to let them sit still longer than 24 hours without touching them and making sure all is dandy!

Like I mentioned before I have been adding extra soil where I can as I see space and more stem available wants to get it about 3 cm or 1" from the brim. Temp seems to be constant only using light nutrient for now seedling feed 2.5g/5liters. I have been feeding them every second day but minor amounts and they have been showered in between. Been using a 750ml feed up to now. Next feed I'm gonna run until I see run off through my gigantic pot...:eyesmoke:

Also made some wire LST hooks and strapped the ladies down two days ago they seem to be getting much better light to new node growths and are growing rapidly. :weed:

Here are the three other babies coming along nicely.

White Widow leading the pack...

White Widow

IMG_6510.JPG LA Confidential on Left and Mango Kush or Right.

Otherwise the tub is filling properly now. I know I have removed a few too many leaves on AA Haze 2.0 but I need light to get to her short stem and tons of internodal growths.
IMG_6508.JPG

Will be back sooner than later with some updates. Happy Monday
:joint::lol: :peace:

I don't get it, it says it puts out 89685lm, you say it measures 280W max at he wall.
89685/280W=320lm/W

Think the box the light came in was a little economic with the truth.

ANC bro I can 100% agree with you on that. The seller is obviously from China so only factual stats was on his 2000w I think the 1000w runs on 20000 lumenous flux. lampIMG_6526.PNGim running this light cause it's the only seller that would ship to South Africa. 280w x (97%) =271.6
20000/271.6watts = 73.6 lm/W which is spot on for 97% of this Luminous Efficacy Table:

Hey man

Why did you cut the leaves? Looking good!! My seeds are juuust starting to germinate
DonnyDee, cut some of the larger foliage as this lady is almost 4 days older than the rest so she was a little busy. Also trying to maximize the light in getting to the internodal spaces. With big fan leaves this is hard of her stem is short and can't do proper LST. Which bean:hump:s did u Germ mate?
