Question on smoking devices

Hello, I hope this is the correct place to post this...
Okay so frankly I do not know shit about smoking devices beyond joints and bowls and I am looking to kinda upgrade. I have vaped from a portable pen (it was okay) but what about other devices like a water bong or bubbler? Other options?
Please help with what is recommended and criteria I should be looking at (ex: water bong with honeycolm...). What I want in the end is a very smooth smoke and something that I can use for myself and wife. ALL OPINIONS ENCOURAGED. Looking at spending MAX $150 Ish. Thank you all!

Bong is propebly the most used option. Properly cured cannabis is always the key to a quality smoke.

i have a fondness for the bong myself. the biggest factor for me is the size of the chamber. anything much bigger than a pint is asking for a cough fest, and hard for some people to clear, so they leave stale nasty smoke for you.
i also actually like the small silver cone bowl that comes on most cheaper units. its just the right size to use as a one hitter for me, and saves on weed, don't have a bowl sitting there stinking and smoldering away if i clear it.
i prefer glass for everything, but i have an old plastic graphics with a cone bowl i use a lot when i'm alone.100_2550.JPGthis is the company's over device 100_2551.JPG

Agreed ,,,though a nice bong will somewhat smooth out the smoking experience ,,,like Luke said above ,,properly grown and cured weed is the best way to start for a smooth session ........however I understand your looking for a new way to smoke .....if you don't have a bong or a bubbler ,I'd say that's a good place to start .....and IMO like stated above ,,,only pack enough in the bowl on your bong that you can clear all at once ......you'll thank us later when your super stoned .....joints and blunts are one of my favorite ways to smoke ....but it's not the best if your trying to conserve your stash .....some of us don't have to worry about running out .....but for those who do ,,a nice fat bong rip will get you where you wana be ....GL

Let us know what you decide and how you like it .....I say you get a bong .....

The shop I went to talked me into a nice portable vape (PAX2)....but I do still plan on getting a bong as well. I really wish I had gotten responses earlier so I would have known to go straight to bong HOWEVER maybe it's not a bad thing- I do like my vape, as it is a "different kind" of stoned that I like (especially at work where I am interacting with people) and it is much more discreet and no smell (again, great at work). I will post my Bong when I get it, though so you all can see it! Thanks a lot for all of the good responses!

PS- I do agree that most important is the quality of the Cannabis smoked, thats always the 1st step to a smooth, amazing stone!

Dude I didn't know you had a budget for a pax 2 or similar. Also bong is the easiest to use and most bang for buck but the vape will grow with you. You'll see what I mean a year from now when it's in you pocket where it has been ready to fire up and get you where you wanna be. I have a mighty personally and I'd probly take my mighty over my smartphone.
