Spac rocks! I saw Tom petty there, was one crazy night, I got lost on the golf course somehow after drinking aftershock and taking shrooms lol. Ill have to look in to the sip I've never heard of that before. I'll give a try :)

Very clever idea, if I get back to using hydroton I might give that a shot. I know some people even use old washing machines

Right on, did you build the system or was is it the hydrofarm type system? I'm thinking I want to use the ebb n grow system but with a drip system and use the controller to pump the run off to outside, only problem I can think of is I'll just have to raise the pots a little off the ground so I don't get back flow. Do you grow trees in the 3 gal pots?that's ALOT of hydroton

Naw I bought it. I might have been able to do a diy but I'm not trying to have 60 gallons of water leak due to something I didn't see. I use the Titan flo n gro. I don't necessarily grow trees but by the time the plants are done they're about 4 ft tall. However the bottom 1/3 is all stripped to keep larf away.

I def go through a good amount of hydroton. Takes me about 12 bags to fill all my buckets.

I love the system though. I can leave for 5-7 days and not miss a beat. Makes it nice not having to be tied down and not being able to take multiple day trips.

Yep I lived in Funroe too, shitholio that place. And I lived in Magnolia, AR for a year and a bit and we travelled through Farmerville and the surrounding shitholes daily going to Arcadia, Sibley, Ruston etc.

Yeah man I hear that. I bought mine, too. I like that you can expand and all the parts are available when you need something. Ive only broke 1 elbow fitting for one of the buckets one time. Every thing else works smooth and I have two and both are great. I bought a cap system and it was a piece of shit since day 1 1 (the newer ones). So I got the active aqua flow and grow. Only 2 gallon buckets though but still can put out like the 5 Gallon ebb system by cap. Since I started the suspended pot ebb n grow, shit I was only using 1. 5 bags for 20 plants or so which was nice

You finding that the veg + bloom is fucking awesome? I'm so glad I switched back to it, easy peasy and I'm only running 1040ppm max now, seems to be more potent lately which I like

I love the veg+bloom. It makes things a lot easier just adding one thing to the res and not having to worry about mixing ratios. I've wanted to try a current culture system but what I have works so well I'm apprehensive to change it up.

Same here man. I was checking out some nice rdwc systems on eBay with 2" piping, would love to rock one but ebb n flow just works so well without all of the crap that can go wrong in other systems. But man, with your bleach recipe, I bet root rot would not be likely. I had brown algae in my drip system res, wasn't affecting the plants at all, but still Gross. Used bleach. Killed it in 5 dayz and now back to squeaky clean rez and I didn't even have to wash it by hand lol. It cleaned itzelf. Much appreciated that tip thanks man.

A lot of people are super apprehensive about using bleach. My buddy who has a rather large setup swore by it and I know he wouldn't give me bad Info. I tried it out and man it worked so now I just try to pass the info on. Glad it all worked out for ya.

Ahhhhh fun hearing those names Sibley, Ruston. You know you're from the sticks when Sibley is the big town you drive to go shopping in. Thank God I want raised there. Just visit family once in a while. Won't be seeing them for a while though. Court says I have to stay here in southern Spain til probably 2018. Looks like my daughter will be fluent in Spanish after all.

Oh and I'm famous, by my count I've made at least 5 local papers!!! One article referred to me as a 'brazen bud buff'. Apparently one writer is a big fan of alliteration. :)
