4 cannabutter methods high times experiment

Yeah, thanks for the link. I checked it out on HT website awhile back and used the scientific method on last batch made with flower. I get mids in my illegal state on the East Coast so now I blast, make a tincture, then do a solvent transfer to coconut oil. I also water cure and decarb the bud prior to processing. Otherwise I have to use so much bud that the decarb, cooking, straining, cooling, and separating was too much. I liked that they did testing on and gave four different methods of making canna butter and I was really happy with my scientific batch.

I would not use 151, but it's not based on any science. You could certainly try it. As I understand the alcohol starts to break down plant fibers. Maybe if you spray lightly and then wait a bit for it to evaporate it would be fine. I get my EC on line.

You sound like me, I've been talking about doing this for months since starting our grow earlier this year. Now that we've harvested and I have plenty of material, I don't want to waste one bit! :)

so they dont sell everclear in my state do you think i could use bicardi 151?
You could but it's only 75% alcohol, you want as close to 100 percent as possible, like Everclear or any high grade grain alcohol because you need the higher content to better (liquefy) the resin glands (which are your trichs, where the thc content resides ;) )

In other words, you want your plant material to be very resinous before harvesting, and well cured for the best decarbing possible, even before baking it at the recommended setting for activating the thc (this is when the thca is converted to thc (delta-9 thc).

Fyi, pot cannot get you "high" unless it is previously decarbed (which is done initially by drying) then by 'activating it' for baking, tinctures, etc. in the oven. Lots of folks have gone back and forth on whether that is actually necessary since the pot is already dry but as far as I'm concerned the video you posted pretty much summed it all up! :)

Please do share your creation with us here, pics or experiences, all is enjoyed! and welcome to RIU! :)
