I removed the lid from my worm factory yesterday and saw millions of what looked like fleas or mites or aphids.
I've attached a magnified picture.
Anyone identify them and any suggestions on what I should do?image.jpeg

I have a bazillion different bugs in my worm farm. I use leaf litter and lawn clippings in my bin so I have so many different bugs in there it's crazy. I wouldn't worry to much about it...but that's just me

Too much moisture from water/environment/decomposing scraps and you will have wet pockets with thriving insects. Uncover your bin at night, keep out of the rain and feed less scraps.

Thanks, I just heard from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm. They say that they are mites and to treat it with diatomaceous earth. Also about the moisture etc.
I don't want to take a chance on spreading them to my special ladies.

Thanks again for your replies.
