Jacks (JR Peters) nutrients

One last thing. Cal Sulf or Cal Nit and why? I assume you use Sulf due to Sulfur to feed trics?
Calcium Sulfate is mostly insoluble in water.
Calcium Nitrate is very soluble in water.

Okay.

Your plant needs nitrates as well as sulfates to be healthy.

Calcium Nitrate is the most common calcium fertilizer, by a long shot. It accounts for probably 90% of all calcium fertilizers.

It is cheap, it is the most versatile calcium fertilizer. You use it for calcium and for nitrate. Both necessary plant nutrients.

But you still need sulfur, right? You should use magnesium sulfate(epsom salt) or potassium sulfate(sulfate of potash).

Calcium nitrate is essential for hydroponics. Calcium sulfate in a DWC (for example) is a very big mistake. (you're going to get precipitation).

Assuming you get all your potassium from potassium nitrate and monopotassium phosphate, there's really no reason to use potassium sulfate. Magnesium sulfate in this case makes the most sense.

Anybody tried Jack's Classic Palm Food? It compares very favorably to Citrus and Petunia with better ratios among main nutrients (less P which is correct for both veg and bloom), K is nearly double N (also correct), 1% Mag and 7% Sulfur:

Total Nitrogen (N) ..................... 16%

Most growers don't know that the secret nute for potency is sulfur, the Citrus FeED has 4.9% and the Aquagold has 9%. I also add Potassium Sulfate (which I get from JR Peters) as it is 18% sulfur and a 0-0-50. Tis also why I prefer Gypsum and Epsom for Cal/Mag issues as they both are Sulfates. I've been gardening over 40 years :)
What powder nutes would you recommend for a light mix soil?

I have some ''snake'' powders that came in a trio pack they are like 0-39-25 and 0-48-28. Never used them again after reading P is not needed like that. Get rid I guess?. Another is ''the heavys'' or some silly named sht with similar ratio. Their was a carbo blast one with it and the outer box analysis label has no mention of it having Mag but the tub itself has it there at 1%. Guess that speaks for itself.

Also have this liquid bottle of ''growers edge'' that says nitrate 14.4%/ammo 1.1% - calcium 26.3%. Not keen on it, won't last long at all. But the bottle is still almost full.

Define correct.- Jiji
By "correct" Phosphorus I mean it's a lower amount, such as has been found the plant really needs in both veg and bloom, according to studies like the one below, commissioned by Advanced Nutrients. Note not only the low P throughout, but the high N regardless of stage. Marijuana is more of a NKC plant than NPK.

I am including a copy of the full study in a PDF.

Can anyone tell me is epsom salt essential when using the 5-12-26 with cal nit? Any problems with excess magnesium?

Any UK outlets for jacks brand line?.
Doubtful, they don't even have distributors in Canada. They really need to expand outside the US. Only other place I've seen it is on e-Bay but much higher prices that buying it direct. Biggest issue is shipping costs when ordering online and outside the US. Shipping can be as much or more than the product itself.

So how do people get it outside us, or any alternatives?
