Growing slow & leaves curling, Help!

Hi, first time grower and I need some help I'll try to be short and simple.
Found a seed in my bowl and decided to give it a shot growing. It was the only seed I found in the whole ounce not sure what kind it is at all, and like the title says it's growing slow I think and the leaves are curling.

Age: 11 days

Lighting: 2 CFL 14w Bulbs (900 lumens each), 1 CFL 23w Bulb (1600 lumens) all within 5 inches of the guy.

Thermometer/Humidistat: I stuck it in the pot next to the plant and the humidity reads normal, tempature is usually 80° F

Soil: Not sure of the PH, potting soil mixed with dirt from outside where the grass growing very green.

Fans: 1 fan placed to cool off the bulbs and it pushes air right over the pot but doesn't disturb the plant, the other is a dual fan about a foot above the plant blowing up to disperse the hot hair (also not visibly disturbing the plant).

Other: Its only about half an inch tall, watered the plant very little yesterday and today because I feel like I may have over watered it, on day 8 I flushed the pot in hopes to help the guy grow. OH and it's on 18/6 light and dark cycle with a timer. Can't figure out if I'm doing anything wrong please help.

Maybe I am worrying but shouldn't it be much bigger?

Update: still feel like I'm doing something wrong ...

It's building roots. Just sit back and learn to speak it's language. Lots of fun if you just sit back, read a lot and enjoy the experience. I'm still pretty new to all of this, but my advice is to be patient. Ask questions, but don't overthink things. Just inform yourself and enjoy the hobby.

Keep it simple untill you have enough experience to move to the next level. The less mistakes you make with a pencil, the better you'll be with a pen. If that makes any sense.

I dont use CFL; I use LED, but I think your light may be too close. Can anyone comment on this? I had my LED's super close to my girl in the seedling stage and her leaves were curling like yours. Also could be overwatering; the flush may have been a culprit too. What size pot are you using? Don't worry...give her time, she will grow.

Im not a CFL expert but I would think that 3'' is WAY too close to your plants. I had my LED's approx 8" above my White Queen strain and she was growing slow, leaves were curled, and looked burnt. I raised my lights to 21" and almost overnight she began to grow like it was nobody's business. I would deduce that your problems arise from lighting more than anything...given that your pot is no more than 1 gallon max, and that you've been watering with care. Put your hands underneath your lights....when it doesn't feel hot is how high you should raise the lights...and even then, since it's a seedling, I would give it a few inches buffer. Hopefully you have your grow area proper (Mylar/White paint/etc). Seedlings are delicate snowflakes lol....again I'm no CFL expert. HOPEFULLY someone who is well versed in CFL will see this post and comment, but to me, 3" is like, insanely close.

Whatever you do....update with pictures in a few days.

3 inches is not too close, if you have air circulating. However is that Honeywell a heater, if so move it away from directly being on the plant.
Also don't over water, in this stage the plant is building roots, as the top of the soil dries out, the rotts grow down searching for water. In that stage I water once a week. If that.
Once you get a few nodes on her she will drink up

Also remember, when you flush the pot, your stripping out nutrients also.

I NEVER flush plants!
ONLY toilets!

No problem man, that's what we are here for. Something I learned a lot from is books. For like 10 bucks on amazon, I bought marijuana horticulture by Jorge Cervantes. Learned a shit ton.

Update, that's a Honeywell fan I'm using to cool the bulbs, I've upped the bulbs to 3 24w 1600 lumen CFLs, I've been watering like 2 times a day with a spray bottle only whenthe soil is dry about an inch deep. Not sure how often I should be watering them honestly. It was standing up by itself yesterday but it's dropping again. Leaves have never been straight out like other plants I've seen. Any more ideas? PS thanks for all the help guys

PPS I've also moved the bulbs about 5 inches away, also would it be a bad idea to transfer it to some different soil?

Your thermometer in 2nd pic reads 100°f. thats hot!

You are watering too much. Don't worry about the top drying out. As ramrod pointed out, at this point the roots are doing their thing. You are better off watering a tad more to last 3 to 5 days or so, rather than wetting the top twice a day.
I suspect if you let it dry out for a couple days she will perk up.

Eh that's the humidity

no hes right the thermometer in the second picture in the original post says 100 man and if your humidity is at 100percent thatll cause you alot of problems to man. Also your soil doesnt look so good bro youre definitely overwatering that little plant too..continue to try to grow in those conditions and youll be setting yourself up for failure everytime... i highly suggest you go back to the very beginning and read through a lot of howto grow threads

also the way you have those lights placed are not ideal to get the most out of them you should get a digital temp/hum gauge in there itll tell you the highs and lows from each day
