Depends on pot size. I did 11 under mine, 5 in 5g pots and the rest in 3g. I think it'll be better with nine Max in 3g pots for me. Hope that helps.

It depends on strains, reflector type, size and shape of your pots and the training methods you are planning to use.

If you have too many plants under your light, rotating pots 90 degrees every day is a great way for even-lighting of blind spots.

All it really depends on is how damn big the plants are going to be when harvested!

If your looking for a pound or better per plant, ONE (1)!!

Personally, I don't go over 4 and those are 4-5 footers, strain dependent...Then again my lights are overlapping for a single long footprint and I just fill that sucker up for each row of lights....

9 in a 5.5 in 3g pots is a bitch to maintain once they start to get some size on'em. But it all depends on your definition of big girl.

sir...all you guys help plz..ive been growing,still learning,ive done in 5gal..done em in three...I NEED POUNDAGE....ASAP..im in 5 halfx5 half space,1000w gull wing reflector.IVE BEEN RUNNING 600W..NOW..7 or 8 week veg in 5 gal buckets..8 to 10 weeks flower...6 5gal will fit in there easy,,,,with spreading the plant as it grows...ya I know.....you experienced/advanced growers...how many big yielders should I stuff in there???? 5?? 6???? like 3 critical kush 3 blue dream....hoping to get 5 oz on each plant

I have ONE kripplings incrdible bulk under mine... its a beast, toppled the lid off last night n tipped, had to tie it up.... 21 days or so into flower....

Plant size determines how many, not bulb size.

1k's are good for larger plants, because they have deep penetration, 12-18 inches.... where a 400w gets like 4-6 inches...

why a couple of big ones when u can have a heap of small ones i keep them small no bigger then say 45cm ill pull 3-5 ounces per plant wer when i did big ones pulled a little more but half of it was under bud that was up for selling

think i tossed like 3-4 ounces of under bug also gave a bunch of uni students about a shopping bag full for free smacked off my brain walking back from my dealers house seeing if he would swap it for horse no luck

It doesn't matter how many. 100 small straight to flower clones or 1 big girl scrogged out. You still have the same square footage of light, it just depends on much time you wanna spend vegging. As long as your grow skills are solid, 2lbs per light is very possible.

4-6. Why do people insist on odd numbers under lights? Its so weird... Unless its five per light because you have 10 plants under two lights.

Thats what i would do for that size pot. If i do four its 7 gallon pots.

I have 5 under my 1000w....but I have another 5 right next to them under another 1000w so you get your damn even number. All in 7 gallon pots though.

Sounds like you're in a hurry and have a little skill set......I think your already expecting to much......
I might consider a 5X5 tent with a full size 4x4 ebb tray and run SOG and take up to 1600grms per run with plants flipped at 8 - 10 inch's or just run a good Auto and cram as many as possible in it.....Rock wool
