too expensive vs. too expensive. a 2.8 cu.ft. bag of neutral grower's mix is 15 USD at a garden center. if you are going to spend money on fancy nutes, you don't need a hot soil. i use peat, perlite, and poop as a base. costs about 4 USD a cu.ft.

What is the difference between headstash and Spiritual stash? I probably seem ignorant because I've seen these terms used before but dang it I need a vocab lesson!
my head stash ill grow indoors under 1k-mh 1k-hps in 7-12 gallon pots organic indoors experiemental nutes, and ill sell/give a lil to friends and fam, can be consumed whenever i wish to smoke so long as its offered to Lord Shiva, the Spiritual stash is only smoked during morning and evening Mahadev yoga, made into bhang lassi on holidays, and never sold, only shared and small amounts give to those who show up for puja on Shivaratri, Diwali, Holi, Navratri, or on the Shiva Moon for Shiva Puja. that herb has to be grown naturally and organically, outdoors so it recieves sun and moon light, there are images of Lord Shiva in their greenhouse, and the flowers and ashes from Puja are sprinkled on the top soil.

no more than 2 plants in 7 gallon pots per 1k watts (only 2 under each light) 50% coco with c02 gravity, molasses, and iguana juice 6-8oz per plant. i use fabric pots

Yeah Mal! I like to do big girls too! Fabric pots for the win! You must have great light intensity in there. Is the gravity a must, that company has mucho secret/undisclosed ingredient issues no? CO2 usually gets em dense dense IMO.

I used Happy Frog last grow. I really liked it at first. Plants did too. Then ~bam!~ it ran out of nutrients. No prob; I ferted. (Scuse me.) But what bugged me is that for the last month of flower, the soil began to become duck's-back hydrophobic. Water would bead off and take forever to penetrate the soil. And then the soil ball began to crack, and my waterings raced right through without being significantly absorbed. So I love it and hate it. cn
try and put about a sup on good compost in too thicken up the soil structure just make sure to mix it in real well. and happy frog tends to be less hot so can take some organics right right in the soil to fix having to feed it.

I've used ocean forest for the past 5 years and have started my seeds in same. I agree with thoase who say it'as too hot, however the end result is always good. I will be going with Happy Frog my next grow just to see if there's any difference. .

I use Happy Frog for seedling stage and veg. Works great and I get the fastest growth while using it. I've used Roots for flowering along with general organics bottled nutrients and the plants stayed green up until harvest. Tried ocean forest and they yellow out a little earlier. So thats what i use, Happy Frog for veg, and Roots organic for flower.

I used to use happyfrog for seedlings and clones
ocean forest for veg with almost half perlite
Then equal parts cocobrick hf of with a little perlite
except in my flower pots I amend the bottom 1/3 with dry certs and with no perlite

In veg I top dress alfalfa and ewc and feed teas every other time
in flower I top dress with dry fert lots of ewc and kelp feed teas every watering
Usually like 1.5 gal veg and 3 gallons for flower or for clones I like 64oz cups for veg and 5gal buckets

This grow I have opted out of using the FF liquid ferts and now I have happy Frog dry organic ferts in my soil I went small on the Tomato and Veg 7-4-5 and put in Fruit and Flower 5-8-4 toward the middle to bottom of the bucket, this way it should have plenty of time to break down before budding, and the reason I didn't put much tomato and veg, ocean Forrest has plenty of nitrogen for the majority of veg, Now teas and water. I feel pretty good about this set up, it's as close to super soil as I can get right now for where I am in life.:weed:

I noticed the wetting problem around week 5 or 6. I'll have to check with you later and see how it went for you! Best luck. cn
Hey Canna, I have the same issue, but it helps if I aerate the soil with a skinny poking device. I make 10-20 4-5" deep holes all around the pot before watering and that seems to help it absorb so it doesn't run off to the sides. I use 10 gallon smart pots btw and I mix in extra perlite with the Happy Frog to lighten it up a bit. Also, I pay about $11/bag (I think they're 2 cf)

Roots organic. Chose it, because, of the perlite, and coco. As Kellogg soil, compacts after months of use. Also got tired of mixing soil amendments.[/QUOTE I've used happy drop and ffof soil for my grow for past few years. Today my gf bought a bag of roots organic 707 to plant her strawberries and I was amazed how spongy the soil is.. The soil is perfect this is what I will be using from now on
