Okay I think this guy is just asking for basic information obioisly if he is asking about soil he doesn't need to worry about pH or what ever get him started on a soil that's quick and simple to start growing don't over complicate it at first. I did and it stressed me out start of simple and basic and while your plants are growing do your research its very easy don't get into hydro or soilless stick to dirt maybe a 10$ timer set up to a 1literpermin pump that turns on every 12 hours for 1min get creative like that don't over complicate the growing simplify it

I just got a bag of FF and the guy at the store knew EXACTLY what I was up to...........LOL-he didnt use the words but we understood each other and he has done it so now I have a partner right here in town! Trying to decide whether to do it all outside or outside then bring it in at night for 12/12
OR grow in a room upstairs that has light-you CANT see in from the street-I tried this morning with a friend
Would be nice not to have to buy all the lights but dont know if I can pull it off-any suggestions?
If it was indoors I use 6500k to veg and 2700 to flower right?
Thanks!!

You sound as confused as me. I'm just now planting my seeds and have the same questions to self.
"Am I going to grow to a point then put them outside or use a grow tent for some and one or two outside?" Decisions, decisions.

Miracle Grow AND nutrients?????? I will pray for you........from what Ive read that stuff will TORCH plants and it has too many nutrients IN IT and time release ones. I hope it works but that sounds scary to me!!

I've being using reptile substrate soil
In the first week of my germinating and it's working out very nice I mixed with a bit of fresh garden soil and my babies seem too be taking right off, planning on switching too half and half at the 24 day mark, and keep diluting the substrate by each transfer is this a good idea?

My 1st 2 grows I used miracle grow 3 month feed soil. I've since switched to Fox Farm Ocean Blend and will not be looking back. One of the things I learned a long time ago, from my gram actually, she's were I learned to garden as a kid (not weed). Was to put a small layer of rocks on the bottom of your containers to help with drainage, this will help with any root rot in case you over water.
If someone is using miracle grow and can't get the Fox Farm, a trick I used was to take some of the feed sticks, the green 2-3 inch ones found at home depot and actually layer them into the soil.
Happy Growing.
Can those MG food sticks be dissolved in water then fed to the plants?

Alaska for vegetative and 2.4.1. for flower that's Atlantic brand.

My grow is indoors in a closet in a bedroom with me and my wife so the smell has to be minimal. So I cant really do bat shit and stuff like that.

So I need to use just the mix of MG dirt and perlite and add NO nutes, just water to avoid nute burn?

I tried to look through the thread before asking, so apologies if someone already covered this!
But I was wondering... I read an article saying you want to use a different soil when you first put your germinated seed into the soil? Something that has very low nutes? I have FoxFarm Ocean Forest, should I use something different when I first move my germinated seed into soil? Or should this be okay?

I use a organic seed starter in a solo cup after germination give them 1-2 weeks then transplant into regular soil in bigger pots.
