That's dope, I just haven't seen any of the ballasts for sale, this is the first I've seen 'em. gotta start saving now I guess, because as soon as I see the ballast on sale by itself I'm ordering two or three and a couple of OG hoods. Wanna chill and take some dabs or smoke some bowls soon? Gonna be taking some starbud clones this week, so of course they won't be rooted yet but if you want one just let me know! Somehow I lucked out like crazy (oh yeah, I worked every day this week including turkey day) so I have sunday monday tuesday wednesday off. Woohoo! usually it's just monday tuesday. Anyway, anytime you wanna blaze, I'm sending you my number now!
only a couple ounces of starbud left (gave a lot of samples to a lot of people at work) but looks like the white critical is coming down soon! a week or so after that, the next starbud :)

Yeah, for sure. I'm doing my usual thing, I'm sure I can find some time to spark up a bowl or two!

hahahahaha graduated 2009 so I doubt any of the same teachers were there, but cool!

We only need to find a few more RMHS grad CMH users and we can say that a special faction of rocky mountain high graduates are indeed rocky mountain higher than ever!

...Except that you'd be kicking me out of that club in a few months, cuz it's looking more and more like 2016 is the year I put light bulbs for growing out to pasture.

When I graduated, half of that school as it exists today didn't exist.

come to think of it, the growth I'm seeing from the cobs so far has been much more vigorous

right as the white critical was getting mature, all the leaves started drooping so bad, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't over or under watering. it was so happy its whole life, I dunno what happened, but I chopped it tonight, which is pretty much when I planned anyway. It's as close to 10% amber as I can say I've seen. Smells pretty good, lemony.

also took the smallest starbud out of the flower tent and trashed it. Just wasn't ready to flower yet, was getting beat up by the fans and stuff. More room for the big starbud I just moved in from the veg tent!

Here's some "white critical" pics

I'm not sure that's what it is, I gave the white critical seed to a guy who grew it out, had it hermie, and gave me seeds from it, but other plants in his tent also hermied (once I saw his setup, it all made sense, worst thing I've ever seen) so it could have been hermie pollen from itself (g13 white critical) or g13 white lavender, or bagseed.

I promise, the rest of the genetics were all ordered from attitude/choice by me, so I'm not unclear about any of the other strains.

Here's the flower tent, all starbud except the white critical in the back left. I'm kinda doing a rotational thing, the oldest plant that's next to be harvested goes front left, second oldest back left, third oldest back right and youngest front right, so I don't have to move a bunch of plants around to put one plant into the flowering tent or take a plant out. Also, I'm still using the 4200k bulb on the left side, so it ought to be putting off more uv, I've read the best time for that is late flower, so it'd make sense to put older ones on the left.

the oldest starbud- probably two weeks left I think-
IMAG0190[1].jpg IMAG0191[1].jpg
white critical also with about 2 weeks, maybe 3-
IMAG0192[1].jpg
starbud midway through, I bet she starts purpling in like 7 days.
IMAG0193[1].jpg
Huge starbud I just moved to the flower tent, so it's day one of 12/12. Part of the reason I wanted to start this journal is that it's much easier for me to go back and look at old posts to remind myself how long something's been in 12/12. Wasn't that hard the first time, when the whole grow flipped at the same time.
IMAG0194[1].jpg

The veg tent- Back is starbud, the front two are cotton candy, The dome has cuttings of both cotton candies and some starbud, as well as three DNA genetics chocolope beans
IMAG0195[1].jpg

I'm finding that I need to learn more about cloning, I had a low success rate on cloning starbud last time, hoping for the best but the starbud cuttings again aren't looking great in general. There's five this time and one or two look like they might be okay. The cotton candy cuts are looking a little better, but I definitely won't be moving anything else into 12/12 until I can get this right. And let's hope I do, I wanna keep this pheno!

8 days later-
the starbud closest to being finished is falling under her own weight, my fault, I trained the top just over to one side really late in veg then put it in flower, so most of the weight actually had nothing really under it, chopping pretty soon, still looks fine to me, just learning that not all LST is smart LST.
me holding it up-IMAG0200[1].jpg
letting it hang free-IMAG0201[1].jpg
the dumb way I trained it-IMAG0202[1].jpg
white critical is getting pretty close, the first one I cut isn't that great, but makes good rosin-IMAG0203[1].jpg
the next starbud is starting to get pretty frosty, looks like this one might be the best yield so far(sorry, just noticed it's not a great pic)-IMAG0204[1].jpg
and here's that big starbud plant 8 days into 12/12-IMAG0205[1].jpg
here's the veg tent, starbud in back, two cotton candies in front.-IMAG0206[1].jpg
the two cotton candies are looking pretty good, maybe a lil stretchy, but nice strong stems, especially the one on the right.-IMAG0207[1].jpg
two DNA chocolope seedlings-IMAG0208[1].jpg
the cloning tray with the dome taken off, no visible roots yet. I mist em twice a day, temp and humidity are both about 80 usually-IMAG0209[1].jpg
I think a lot of those clones I took were too big/had too many leaves

extra starbud budshots mostly from the main stalk on the plant that's falling over
probably gonna be my smallest starbud plant yet, lesson learned
the first starbud was 125 grams and after the reveg and reflower it was 150 so I'm kinda hoping for about a qp off this one, but I still have some of the 6 oz I got from the last one, so I'm cool, plus I got a bunch of white critical to rosin up.

Nice color variation on that starbud, it's a mysterious looking one for sure. I read that you got bugs from the cannabis specific moonshine mix, seems that there are a lot of products geared towards growers that are expensive yet aren't backed by scientific proof of their efficacy.

yeah, there's a chance it could have been the shop I bought it at too. Either way you can tell by picking up a handful of the moonshine mix, and then picking up a handful of roots organic, that roots is a better medium.

wish I didn't have to dry them in my closet, I have more tents and fans and ducting and filters, but the only way I could use one would be to put it literally on top of my bed.

...while typing this I just realized it's a queen size and I'm a small guy so I guess I have two projects for tomorrow- white critical chop and setting that up, hahaha!

I might get a humidifier as well, every plant I've cut since I started has been drying in like 3-5 days it seems, so much of what I read says it's all about the slow dry for best flavor. was really just trying to take the big fan leaves off of this one to encourage a slow dry.

by the way, you might notice the fan under them, don't worry, it's off, I went apeshit building my computer this summer to make sure it would play games in 4k 3d (haven't tried yet, no man's sky is gonna rule!) while still leaving every possible milliamp for my grow.
