Not the right place or time for this I suppose but SR, your gun and bible avatar makes me want to throw you into a pit of lions.

I find that picture disgusting and revolting and equally on par with the Islamic State. This is the wrong place to be flying your extremist flag buddy.

I dont troll or internet fight with folks but that right there is fucking sick.

need some advice on long time mainliners. While growing my current plants I have noticed that going with 8 colas most likely isn't the best way to use all my space in my tent. I have come to the conclusion that going with 4 plants with only 4 mains will fit my space better.

My question is how do you make the best branches that are long enough. My plan is branch it out to 4 but to have these branches reach to the corner of the pot. I want to set them out so they will be evenly space in the tent (like a sog) As you see in the picture i just cut away and move the wire up. Is there a better way?

Now I agree that just SOG 16 plants would have the same effect but 16 plants is over the limit whereas 4 plants is ok and the reason I am looing into this.

From Nebulas Mainline tutorial:

1.) Create 2 main colas

  • Let young plant grow 6 nodes
  • Top to 3rd node (now have 2 colas)
  • Clean extra growth
2.) Create 4 main colas

  • Let each new cola grow 2-4 nodes
  • Top to 1st or 3rd node (now have 4 colas) - top to the 1st node for a more compact plant, and to the 3rd node for a bigger plant with a wider manifold
It looks like you do the second topping at the first node, like I do because I want to keep the plant more compact.
If you wait and top at the 3rd (not 2nd) node, you will get what you are looking for.

I did just 2 plants with 8 colas each and I am really thinking about only 4 colas each next run and their accompanying side branches.
That should still fill the box pretty good but really cut down my veg time too !

yea looking at my two 8 cola plants in my tent and there is too much wasted space so light is not getting into the colas the best it can. I have the rings in the middle to spread it out but it isn't really the best it can be.

2015-10-31 23.08.06.jpg

I want to go for 4 colas per plant with a 20cm grid like pattern. I want to grow each arm out 10cm from the stem as that will use my space better. I keep practising on the plants I'm giving to a friend. My biggest issue is getting it to the 10cm point.

I have found with these plants that if I cut the at the base then often they have a simple point where I can start mainlining from a clone.

Here you can see the two large trained plants which are from the main plants and the new clones which are from the trained clones. I am hoping to mainline them out for 4. I want to pick the best from there. The two remaining plants are waiting to clone are the og kush. They are cloning very slowly.

You come here talking about throwing someone into a pit of lions for a fucking avatar? Thats pretty fucking sick if you ask me. Your so into the bible that you think like that? Sickening..... Only a moron would make comments like that on a forum where they never make comments before.

I wish I could respond in a way you could understand, but if you think my avatar is an "extremist flag" then there's no reasoning with you. Please keep my name out of your mouth and your opinion to yourself. This is a mainlining thread, not a religious debate thread.

Hi y'all,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, was very busy and then took me some time off and went on vacation. First one in a while, I'll tell ya.

Well I guess the last time I posted was when we had the little accident. Well as I said, all will be good. I had my son care for the two ladies during this trip and he did an outstanding job. I did not have him do any trimming so when I got back they we getting fairly large.

I was at four mains when I left on the trip and they had grown out to the 8th node and starting the ninth node when I returned. I was going to cut them both at the third node but the White Rhino's nodes were not symmetrical at the third node so I had cut it back to the 2 node. The Exodus Cheese was cut at the third node. I cut them last evening and gave them a very good water/nutes, 5 ml/gal of GH micro and 7 ml/gal of GH Bloom, also added 2 ml of Cal/Mag and 2 grams of Epson per gallon of RO water. I have been using a weaker solution of nutes than the standard Lucas for coco (Heads) recipe by backing off the nutes a third or so and the plants seem to be doing well, going to back off a bit more as they are too dark green and don't want to get any tip burn. The best of any of my grows too this point.

WR left, EC right cut to 8

WR cut to 8

EC cut to 8

I have lots of clones to chose from due to the waiting till 8+ nodes had formed. Prepping them for a SOG after I finish this grow around the end of the year. There are at least 16 shoots per strain. So I will choose the best 3 of each strain to clone as mothers. Will keep updating in this journal.
WR shoots for clones

EC shoots for clones

That is tomorrow mornings job, prep them little ladies for the dance.

Ok, I have started flower, four days in.

I just realized that I have not given any info on my grow.

White Rhino and Exodus Cheese both fem'ed.

2 - 5 gallon Hempy buckets in a 7 plus sqft cabinet.
75/25 Botanicare Coco/Growstone
GH Micro and Bloom nutes, Cal/Mag plus and Epson, using Heads modified Lucas formula at reduced rates, they have been reduce by about 1/3rd. PPM at 600 to 700, and pH 5.8 to 5.95.
At present watering/nutes at every water and I have been giving them two waterings per day, 7 AM and Just before lights out at 7 PM. Six to 8 cups per watering. Getting about a 1 plus runoff.
Growing Manifold/Mainline style without the grow ring.
400W MH for veg and now 400W HPS for flower with Cool Tube.
6" Vortex fan and 6" Can filter

Nothing exciting to report, grow is going very well, best I have had to date. I think I am finally learning something, :wall:

Color is great not to lush, well the White Rhino is a lot darker green, think it is the strain. No tip burn, no curling up or down just cruising down the road with my headlights on.

The WR is very very indica dominate while the Exodus Cheese is more sativa dom, I have the WR blocked up with a plastic tub, about 4 to 5 inches, to achieve equal height of the two plants.
Oh yeah, it started showing pistils Monday evening, they should break loose soon and go into full bloom. Love it! :weed:
Really like the shape of the WR, it is going to be a good strain to Manifold (mainline). The EC is very branchy and considerable space between nodes. I have had those type of cola'a before on other plants, the Mr. B's Cotton Candie x Blackberry/Grape Ape had a very similar cola signature.

Day 35

Here is two 8 cola mainlined plants. Christmas day is day 65 so finger crossed I have a nice Christmas present.

The are three plants in here. 2 that are mainlined. The taller cola in the front in just a OG kush in a 2 liter hempy bucket. Trying it out to see if I like it.

Blue Dream. It has huge leaves so they block a lot of the lower buds. This is the reason in my next grow I am going go for more plants and less colas each (still 16 in total). These buds aren't as frosty as the trainwreck.
2015-11-25 21.03.37.jpg
These leaves are smaller so light has got down through the plant. They are fatter than the Blue Dream (even though I hear the Blue Dream should be the better yielder)

This is a standard trainwreck bud

Ok got up this morning with a mission in mind. Today is prune and clone day.
Here are the two ladies after prune and ready for water/nutes.

WR

EC

The clones of the two ladies, 13 each, hope to get at least 8 to 10 of each to do my SOG.

Going to have to build a containment/drain to put the clones buckets in for flower. Thinking of a 1"x6" frame, plywood bottom and either heavy plastic or white rubberized paint, It will need to be 42"x30" to hold the 20 clones.

These are the Folgers coffee cans I was speaking of. I should be able to get at least 20 in the cabinet if I can get a few more cans, have 17 at present. As stated it is 8x6.5.

That's about it for now.
