New grow, 60/40 Botanicare coco/Growstone large nuggets. I really wanted to use the smaller nuggets but my G/F picked this up for me. I would have taken it back and in fact I took one bag back but I had to use the other bag as my seedlings were ready to go into the 5 gallon Hempy buckets. I plant the germ'ed seed and plant it directly into the 5 gallon bucket. I believe the roots reach the reservoir faster.
White Rhino and Exodus Cheese are now under an LED during the veg cycle and will go under a 400W HPS for flower.

I don't see how people can water without any run off the whole way through. To me that's some crazy shit. I tried that once and boy did I have a shitty harvest. Of course I was to busy and lazy at the time. And I totally agree with Burger Times PH. I've done PH in every single setting you can think of and keeping it at 5.8 the whole way through flower seems to work better for me.
I love reading everyone's threads and I used to do everything I read on here. But it's all about your own set up and dialing it in with trial and error.
And by the way, did H&G quit producing shooting powder???
It's off the shelfs everywhere! I like adding a really low dose the last three weeks of flowering. I guess I'm gone to Top Shooter if this is the case.

Well here we are at 25 days from sprout, White Rhino and Exodus Cheese.
Had a little Mag. issue but all fixed now, at least for the time being. :bigjoint:

They are around 10 " untrimmed as of yet, short and stocky. Sunday I will make my first cut to begin the Manifold (Mainline) grow. That will also give me a mother of each plant. Will be topping for an eventual 8 cola Manifold over the next few weeks.I normally would have made my first cut already but been in and out of town so much would not have been able to water the clones to get them started. Will be planting them in soil.

I have backed off the N twice now as they look really dark to me, I am using the modified Lucas formula for coco. Calls for 6 ml Micro and 9 ml Bloom plus 2 ml Cal/Mag and a gram of Mag per gallon. I am down to 4 and 6 ml respectively. That little extra cal/mag sure did the trick.

I think my problem is I never grow the same thing twice, so each time is a new experience with different issues. No problem, I love it.bongsmilie

Here they are at 25 days from sprout.

35 days from sprout!

Well I made it back from my little trip. Came back to good news and bad news.
I had my son care for my plants, had him here a number of times going over what to do and when. He has never grown before so this was all new to him.
He was to water with a pre made nute mix, and was to trim the plant back to node three when it reached the sixth node. He did that and it was all good. He was then to tie it down which did not goes as well. He broke them both and he panicked. He was supposed to wait for the the shoots to get 4 nodes and then cut them back to the one node. He did that after two days, was not near ready and it stunted to the extreme, plus he continued feeding with the same nute solution, I am not sure it hurt them but did not aid in the stunting.
He did trim and used the first cuts as the mothers and they are both doing well.
I think all will be good when they recover. He feels like shit, I just told him to wait to get into my stash till after he finishes the work. bongsmilie

Prior to cut day 21

Exodus Cheese cut for 4

Exodus Cheese opposite end

White Rhino cut for 4

All will be ok,

That is a compost/worm casting cap about 1", does two things, keeps the coco moist longer which gives me good roots throughout the profile and adds microbes to the mix when I water.
This is my first time trying this method, a friend has used it for a number of yrs, so thought I would give it a try.

Lmao! Sorry I couldn't help myself with the "mud" comment.

Sky, was it you or Wattsaver that turned me on to this?
So far I like it, it does slow down the water/nute infiltration but that is a minor problem if it is building a stronger rooting system in the profile.

Oh, I will be switching to 12/12 this week!

Ok, I have started flower, four days in.

I just realized that I have not given any info on my grow.

White Rhino and Exodus Cheese both fem'ed.

2 - 5 gallon Hempy buckets in a 7 plus sqft cabinet.
75/25 Botanicare Coco/Growstone
GH Micro and Bloom nutes, Cal/Mag plus and Epson, using Heads modified Lucas formula at reduced rates, they have been reduce by about 1/3rd. PPM at 600 to 700, and pH 5.8 to 5.95.
At present watering/nutes at every water and I have been giving them two waterings per day, 7 AM and Just before lights out at 7 PM. Six to 8 cups per watering. Getting about a 1 plus runoff.
Growing Manifold/Mainline style without the grow ring.
400W MH for veg and now 400W HPS for flower with Cool Tube.
6" Vortex fan and 6" Can filter

General hhydroponics nutrients suck big time bro. You should upgrade to house and garden cocoa a&b + the full line, you defiantly wont regret it. You won't have to puck around with Epsom salts or cäl mag additives or even flushing(w/ drip clean) trust me.

Hey if his recipe is working for him why knock him unless you are willing to give him some house and garden for him to try and explain to him why general hyrdoponics suck...

Well I have been using these nutes and the Head modification of the lucas formula for a number of grows now and have it fairly well dialed in. Looking at the House and Garden coco A&B and you sure have to buy a number of things counting all the additives they request. I also was not able to find labels for any of the products as they post them no where on their web site.
Yes and please tell me why GH micro and Bloom suck.

Well I take it he works for House and Garden so will disregard his comments, and never had another comment on the mud cap, LOL, on my Hempy Buckets.
First pistils are showing, and starting to stretch.

Nothing exciting to report, grow is going very well, best I have had to date. I think I am finally learning something, :wall:

Color is great not to lush, well the White Rhino is a lot darker green, think it is the strain. No tip burn, no curling up or down just cruising down the road with my headlights on.

The WR is very very indica dominate while the Exodus Cheese is more sativa dom, I have the WR blocked up with a plastic tub, about 4 to 5 inches, to achieve equal height of the two plants.
Oh yeah, it started showing pistils Monday evening, they should break loose soon and go into full bloom. Love it! :weed:
Really like the shape of the WR, it is going to be a good strain to Manifold (mainline). The EC is very branchy and considerable space between nodes. I have had those type of cola'a before on other plants, the Mr. B's Cotton Candie x Blackberry/Grape Ape had a very similar cola signature.

Yesterdays post was from day 4 of 12/12 so todays pics are 5 days newer.

Ok got up this morning with a mission in mind. Today is prune and clone day.
Here are the two ladies after prune and ready for water/nutes.

WR

EC

The clones of the two ladies, 13 each, hope to get at least 8 to 10 of each to do my SOG.

Going to have to build a containment/drain to put the clones buckets in for flower. Thinking of a 1"x6" frame, plywood bottom and either heavy plastic or white rubberized paint, It will need to be 42"x30" to hold the 20 clones.

These are the Folgers coffee cans I was speaking of. I should be able to get at least 20 in the cabinet if I can get a few more cans, have 17 at present. As stated it is 8x6.5.

That's about it for now.

Got some coco tek bricks, and canna cocos a&a
Using leftover roots elemental for cal mag.
The coco won't drop in ppms from almost 500
And I can't get my ph'd solution under 6. Something with r/o b2o because I guess I need to buy ph down now too.

Uugg what a hassle.
Killed some seedlings I was super excited about and these new ones are okay looking, but really slow growing.
