Interesting, those are pretty cheap compared to what i bout these for. It seems like there is more in there as well. How long do you think they will last me for with my 2 18 gallon totes?

u can use fox farms in ur dwc but imo a chemical nutrient mix is the way to go like a 20-20-20 and u can dilute it down... heres my reason why... fox farms big bloom is a nasty brown color and will dye ur roots the same color making it really difficult to determine the difference between pythium root rot and just plain color dying.... also u may have better luck if your using the 5 gallon buckets, i used a 6 site 13 gallon tote and my roots woud get completely wrapped up in each other , didnt hurt them just made seperating them impossible.... also its really hard to keep res temps down without a water chiller and those are expensive as fuck unless ur handy enuff to make ur own which i am not... i used frozen liters of water in my rez but they dont last long...if your a new grower good luck to u as i had so much problems with ph swings and deficiencys it was ridiculous....

What would you have done differently? This is a quick diagram i made. There will be plenty of room per plant i think. Each circle is 3"

its not the lid spacing its how the roots float aroundin the water and get moved around by the air bubbles...also more air the better i ran 2-10 inch stone and a 8 inch stone in each res 2 pumps per res 1-dual line 1 single line.... i would say go with seperate 5gallon buckets would be the best way...also try to design a drain to waste system changing ur res weekly is gonna get old fast.. your gonna love the growth rate and cloning in a dwc is fabolous that is one of the main things i miss about it...

id suggest starting very light in nutes. and buy more then enough ph up and ph down because u will need it took me atleast 2 days after feeding to keep a stable ph and by then theres only a few days left before res change and u gotta go thru it all over again...

also distilled water gets expensive i was spending 20$ a week in distilled water. after about 5 weeks i said fuck it and switched to tap water and chem mix nutes....if u do go with chem nute mix u can add H202 to prevent any unwanted bacteria or slime but u cant use H202 with fox farm or anytype of beneficial bacteria///

Also just as a warning haveing more then one or 2 plants in a tote , since they get reallllllllyyyyyyy bushy , its hard to check for pollen sacks , i ended up with a self pollenation at 4 weeks into flower and completely destroyed all my plants ....

I was thinking about making a drain out of a 3/4" EBB flow and drain and hooking it up to a stopper. I dont know how i would really do this. I only have 118.00 left in my budget and i need to get a RO system probably for my water. its coming in at 7.3 and idk how many PPM. Ill check soon though once my pen comes in.
