how cold is too cold

Tonight it is supposed to be 37 where I am and I have two outdoor plants. One I'm bringing in for sure. But ide like my qurkle to go purple. Is 37 degrees Fahrenheit to low of a temp. There is a freeze warning for tonight....what should I do... The qurkle is days from finishing 100%......I could chop it now I'm just giving it some time.... Plz advice....

37 degrees Fahrenheit is indeed too cold for my comfort. If you're going to leave it outside I would at least throw a sheet or two over the plant to help prevent frost. This can buy you an extra day or two. But if you're happy with where the plant's at now, then just chop it.

Yeah that's getting really low they would of started purpling lots well above that if they were going to I'd protect them for sure if you don't wana chop

I only have two plants Atm ......One is already inside and thru haven't seen a cold night before 50 outdoors

They can take it.

I've left my outdoor through a frost or two, they were fine.

Cold does slow the metabolism though, so play it by ear.

Worse comes to worst, pull em. No worries

i wouldn't worry to much last couple days its been 0 degree C -1 freeezing my neck of the woods during the night ,, all what happens is plant stops growing once temps in day start climbing its back to growing

Thank you for your input..... I'll leave one out and bring one in... Test a theory... One is two weeks ahead any how.... We shall see us it's already 39f here

Could always chop her halfway through the night if she's ready and if that's an option. Or you could move them closer to a building if possible. Water holds warmth really well, so make sure your root ball isn't too dry.

You're still going to want to protect those tops if it's in an open area. Especially if you plan on keeping her outside the whole night.

One thing if your growing your plants in a cold climate they will not need as much food as you normally give them .. keep that in mind

Roors smoker the buds are protected by the trichomes i live North of the 60 th parallel my friend i let my plant flower naturally ,, being first try with this strain ,,8 - 9 week i will be pushing it to end of oct to get min 8 weeks in the buds are better off in the open to breath rather then covering it were she might start to sweat.. and mold etc 35 - 37 F really is fuck all my plants has seen them temps for 3 weeks as well as SNOW and there growing
people tend to worry to much about cold . Don't
remember the ground is warm .. worry about rain .

These babies aren't big. I believe the qurkle was and is root bound I didn't trans plant in soon enough but the blue cheese is amazing for being two weeks behind.. I'll post some pix of.my lil girls later today..... And thank you.guys n gals....

This will be a great learning experiance for you op. I'd go out every cool morning just to get an idea of just how hard the temps are hitting the plant, we have swiss skunks up here that ADORE cold temps, then you get a piece of shit plant like sage(in my experiance mind you) and it molds from the cold, Purpling is great as long as it dosnt stress the plant too much and take away from your overall product.

It was not to ram it down anyone's throat, actually i am disappointed with mother nature she brought the cold to soon this time of year . last year sure it got cool at night. But day time temps were real nice
Plants are like people some can take the cold others not so well as i found out in beginning of year when i started placing them outside and to be honest was weird being this strain at a young age did not like the cold indica dominant as the blue berry strain took cold better Sativa dominant
Anyways looks like this strain has to have light dep in beginning of august to finish her where she be really close to being done now . So looks like i am going to take a serious hit in yield and quality may be 2 hmm 3 pounds if i am lucky and pretty sure i could of hit 4 - 6 pound range
she is a beauty and your right i am proud. at the same time i am sad last night been 28.4 F at night presently 35.6 and sun beating down on them. going to chop a bud off her today and get a good look at it and see but looks like if no change in temps and weather then friday i am just going to chop it her possibly....
Roof and hood of truck starting to show frost , walked on lawn and sure enough crispy meaning frost is another couple degrees away . And i always Chop second frost

My qurkle always seems sad in direct sun light..... Put it in the shade and it's pricked right back up. Blue cheese is a trooper not as large as I wanted but I was showing my brother a few methods the right and wrong way and stressed them Lil too much I think at least with the qurkle.... I know for sure she was and probably still is root bound n that's why she stayed so small but I also added bush load second week of flower so they would stay short and it worked but it possiblymade the plant dwarf maybe I'm not really clear with bush load and what it does... Other then it keep plants short and bushie... I'll show y'all later when I get bak near them...

Its bud rot you'll need to worry about, not so much the actually cold. The wet buds stay wet and rot so keep an eye on that. Look at the bud near the stem and you'll see ii if there.
