Looking forward to this one after trying this smoke in Amsterdam around Easter time.. This is my first grow journal so hopefully it goes half decent lol. Anyway, I started germinating around 3 days ago and now we have lift off:

Setup is:
0.8 x 0.8 x 2m Tent
400W HPS
Water farm
GH Flora Noots
RO Water

She is under a 250W 6500 CFL lamp for the first 10 days or so before I switch over to the HPS. I will be installing a SCROG screen also to start training her for maximum yield... I average around 10oz+, here is a pic of the DNA Genetics Tangilope I just finished (344g dry):

Prior to the Tangilope above, I had not done a grow in years so I am still getting back into the swing of things so any advice is welcomed.

Thanks! Very keen to see how she develops, such peng smoke the one I tried.... I will be checking into your journal Dude, RD - Ghost Train Haze is very interesting... You will enjoy the Cookies Kush! I also brought that strain from Barneys when I was in Amsterdam in April - very smelly and tasty :bigjoint:

OOOOOOH! I'm excited now! I just flipped my tent to flower and the Cookies Kush will be the first harvest cycle out of it, sometime in Mid-October.

If yours is like mine you'll be happy as I was especially with my second grow of it which I call round 2 good smoke but it can be challenging to grow but will reward you for your labor good luck p.s. I used gh flora series 3-part nutes

Awesome, was looking for some Skywalker Kush journals to try and spot any characteristics.. Looks like there is quite a bit of stretch when you switch to 12/12, I don`t have huge amounts of headroom so useful to know for the SCROG 8-) - Your girls look fantastic btw! I am guessing you are a big fan of the strain growing it 3 times in a row?.:-D I will probably be going with the Lucas formula for this grow... I used GH Flora Nova on my last grow, but I find the 3 part series has a bit more control and stronger PH buffers - just depends what I can get hold of today/tomorrow in the grow shop... I am usually a bit more organised but just finished trimming up the last girl and working lol

MINOR UPDATE:
Day 3 in the water farm for the Skywalker Kush.
PPM: 0, PH: 7 - Once nutrients are added the PH buffers will bring this down to where it needs to be.... I don`t like to use PH down where possible, it is potent stuff! No nutrients for the first 10-12 days and I will start introducing them slowly.

I use lemon juice to lower my ph as its controllable ,available but don't know how it would work in the water farm which could possibly require a stronger longer lasting form of control I've seen some awesome water farm grows just never got around to trying one out I'm getting ready to put together a new room as I had to shut down and move I hope you enjoy the sky walker as much as I did p.s. Scrog is a must to control this strain

Interesting re the lemon juice will have to try it out! Cheers! I do find in a Water farm at these early stages of a seedling, just plain RO water does best to get a solid root system going compared to ph downing, as depending on the ph of the water going in - it is only going to rise again naturally until buffers are added. Water farms are the bomb - I found the less is more approach to work best with them though after using them for 3 years or so and experimenting with them and other hydroponic/aeroponic systems prior. Sorry to hear about having to shut down, good luck with the new room!

I will be using with the GH Flora Series 3 part (lucas formula) on this grow as the shop ordered it in advance for me this time lol Will start introducing it in a few more days at 2.5ml and then start working the PPM reader.

Day 8 in the water farm. nothing really much to update on, but as said, I picked myself up the GH Flora series aka Lucas Formula day before yesterday which is awesome. I used the Floranova series last time as their was a big wait on getting hold of the 3 part series and I do prefer it. So ready to start introducing the nutrients probably on Tuesday and things should start getting much more exciting as the roots reach the lower res also:

If you dont mind Ill grab a chair and watch.

I am using gh 3 part in nearly all applications.

And wow that tangilope looks awsome m8.

Peace
Thank you sir! The tangie I really made an error on the time of year..... Harvesting end of July/August out here was not my finest move. I lost about 40 grams to rot in some of the biggest heads... But I still got enough smoke to keep supplies rollin till this is ready. The humidity is just wild going from 30% one day to 85% the next. I am getting myself a de humidifier ASAP this time as funds will allow.

GH series you can not go wrong with. Word. I have had just as good results with Plantmagic back in the UK though.

I've used gh , flora series ,maxi series &a flora nova but lately gh has released a feeding chart using their additives with the maxi series which for years was a stand alone food base but for now I've enough of the 3-part stuff & additives I've sold my home & relocated getting ready to fire up again plan on th seeds mk ultra to be my strain of choice with a homemade e&f set up but still eyeballing a waterfarm

Ebb and flow is great just way more forgiving than most other hydrosystems.
my friend fhad his best results with e&f sog in coco.

Edit
Also the res is under the table and disasters are therefor rare. Even if the timer breaks and your pump is running constantly the overflow valve is keeping dry the neighbor ubderneath your flat.
and there are many ways and mediums to grow in e&f

Sorry people my phone packed up leaving me without a camera for the last couple of week or so. Here is some pics from the other day as my mate came over so I grabbed a couple of pics off his phone:

12016585_1636683923252523_1117038784_n.jpg unnamed.jpg

This was while she was on half strength nutrients still, she is now on full strength nutrients which has sorted her out.. I am dialing in my EC meter now the EC/PPM is dropping slightly to start upping the dose more gradually on the flora ratios. Lots of brilliant white roots in the lower res so although she has been slow on the surface, she is about to go I am sure. I will be getting a new phone early next week so will be able to update better with pics and I am sure plenty of new growth!

Looking good mate.
the roots seem about to be nicely developed....will give her a nice take off soon
:bigjoint:
Cheers bro. Yer the roots are proper... This girl was tough and slow to get going but I think some patience and delicacy will pay off. Lets see how she looks in the next few days :blsmoke:

Expect explosive growth after turning the light back to 12/12 mine were rather docile when young & light feeders early on but that all changes I had to keep my clones on 20 hrs of light cause sometimes they would try to auto flower on me especially around 16 or less hours of light I would prepare to start training them as they're gonna stretch I'm hoping you enjoy your grow as much as I did

Interesting. Iv just had her on 18-6 throughout and she has been cool. Iv kept the CFL going a lot longer then normal because I can get it so close to prevent stretching. I had a good look through your journal and saw the stretch your talking about and had this with other strains - so I am trying to keep her as compact as possible during veg. EC went from 0.8 to 0.67 overnight so I am just working her up gently but she seems to be happy with nodes appearing now off the main nodes in the pics and a better colour.
