Supplying Dispensaries

So, I was just curious and looking up Colorado laws regarding selling weed, and how many plants you can grow.. I read that you can grow 6 for personal use, but that 7 is a felony... But I didn't find anything anywhere on any government pages talking about how you go about legally growing professionally to supply dispensaries.. Are dispensaries pretty much just being supplied by people illegally growing more than their allowed amount? Or just by 500 people all growing 6 plants each lol.. What's the deal?

Thanks,

Ah, thank you. So they probably supply a lot of their own product, but buy small amounts here and there from individuals to supplement it.
Exactly how it WAS for a few years . now its a bro bro thing an they want no newcomers unless they drop the price...

That's shitty.. cant be like that forever though, hopefully.. I hope it ends up like beer, lotta big name companies but plenty of room for smaller "micro grows" to get a piece of the pie...

I'm curious too.. what are your thoughts about the future of it? Do you think it will eventually be dominated by only a handful of companies? I mean, you can't grow it in large quantities and guarantee 0 seeds can you? Unless you have a lot of people carefully picking over it? Or is that wrong lol.. I know I had trouble finding herms sometimes in my room with like 10 plants... Had to inspect that shit carefully and it took a long time. I would think that this would give an edge to smaller operations that produce a higher quality product but idk that could just be a pipe dream.. Do they have methods to guarantee the highest quality and still grow fields of the shit?

If that's the case I imagine it would just be taken over by larger companies once it's federally legal.

I hope you're right.. I've been trying to grow it for like 5 years now. had a bunch of shitty closet and basement grows with roommates that never worked out.. Then I rented a house and did it upstairs and got some good genetics (super skunk and raspberry cough) and I got one really awesome yield before I had to move out of the house I was renting and it killed everything. I would love nothing more than to just own a small town dispensary one day with a little green house out back growing my own stuff... Hope that's possible in the future =(

Sounds like you love to garden,so lets build a nursery, sell plants and stuff to us.Make a club and folks can tend to a 50' plot of their own weed, through barb q's for us and serve us wine

Look at the wine industry or the beer industry like jolly mentioned. There are big companies making low end product making a killing doing something they don't really care about and selling Shitty products to people who don't really like beer or wine. Then you have smaller productions creating something they put their heart into that sells for top dollar to the real connoisseurs. When you're passionate about what you do the product is always better and always demands a higher price AND WILL ALWAYS be sought after. I ain't trying to blaze no Marlboro greens. Hell no.

I doubt it.... Those big name companies love to own everything....Tobacco would make money on cigs and tree...
