Flowering under low PPFD levels

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on the topic. I'm currently rocking a 3x3 with 200w of CXB 3070 4000K AB which comes to an average 520 PPFD. 12/12 started almost 2 weeks ago so no real results to look at yet. Zheol's recent low PAR soil grow was impressive at over 1 GPW. I wonder what the results would be like in hydro? My 3x3 is soil so won't be finding out soon but achieving over 1 GPW would be great.

How low can you go and still achieve GPW gains while maintaining decent quality?

This sounds like? Take yield#s with a grain salt! Its like the weighing your bud 15mins after ya chop Crap! Eye test! Most don't pass!

This also sounds like the "were partly made in USA to We are now made in HongKong B.S.
Nice timing on that too.
 o_O

Oh yeah and by the way! This is how u don't do it! The smell coming from flower room few days ago alerted me and luckily I was home! 3out6 emitters were cookin off!

Heat dissipation in unused "wups I f-cked up" holes is great!:clap:Not! HeavenBright testing done was? Yep it lights up! Send it!
The main problem IMO was the emitter to sink contact.
I will def use the chassis, but all the Meanwell 35 1050s,and artic fans? Straight in the garbage!
Keep one your firefighter buddies on speed dial if you buy a Heavenbright!

Ouch, 3-6?

Word on the street is there will be a new COB lamp on the block in a couple weeks...
Sorry bout the heavenbright talk, but had to be shared and the V6 was def a low ppfd fixture. Unless your just growing tops!? Low ppfd fixtures are useless.IMO
I don't know? maybe I could have gotten 3g/watt from it:wink:

I'm thinking about softening my center readings (taking a couple 3070s out) so I can drop it closer. The tops down low or off to the side are as large as the ones with the highest readings. (700-1000 vs 350-650)

Wondering if my co2 levels are too low with no fresh air intake for what I'm trying to throw at em. (Always been a problem and looking at seriously correcting it)

I think that's something that's over looked.... what can your space take? Some of us small time growers don't renew our air as well as we should [be able to] so do you really need x amount of photons.

My new light will have 9 COB's over a 3x3 area and each COB will be centered over each sq/ft for very even coverage.
