Question about hermi plants

I wasn't sure where was the best place to post this thread so I decided to choose the General Growing section. My question is how much more potent is Sinseimilla then plants that have seeds (pollinated) I would really like accurate data, thanks. :)

I grow both all the time and dont notice a difference form one or the other im not sure if you sent them in for testing if there would be a difference you do loose a bit of trics deseeding the buds thow so mabe a difference that way? But i hash out all of my seed runs

Seeds pull quite a bit of energy from the plant that's not going to the rest of the plant. So potency and flavor drops quite a bit. By how much can vary depending on genetics and environment and health of the plant.

Well thanks guys for the input, though I really was hoping for lab comparisons but I kinda figured that was just dreaming. still I wonder if it matters that much because fem seeds sell so much. Or are the fem seeds different then the Hermies because I read fem seeds are hermaphrodites as well?

If your asking about the difference in feminized compared to regular seeds thats a whole different deal
I just meant what was the difference between hermies and fem seeds.... because according to my understanding hermies are plants that became hermaphroditic due to stress where as fem seeds are bred to be hermaphroditic. either way though they are both in fact hermaphroditic and reproduce without pollination

I was just talking to someone about this thr other day.

Hermies caused by stress tend to pass on the hermie traits. Hermies caused by collodial silver dont. All hermie seeds are technically fem seeds, but depending on how they were made they can be more likely to pass on hermie genes.

Also, seeds suck, but they dont automatically make your bud shit. I have seen some decent grows that had seeds, it just takes some of the quality away.

I might actually leave some males alive in my grow this time. Or at least one. Taking the fastest and strongest male and making seeds with my best female could give me some great seeds.

Oh, ok. Thats pretty much what I figured but it is just crazy that fem seeds are so popular now days places like seedsman have nearly double the fems seeds than regular seeds. http://www.seedsman.com/en/cannabis-seeds/filter/seeds_feminised-regular?___store=seedsman_en I kinda want to avoid buying fem seeds because I think it takes the fun out of breeding and they automatically produce seeds which lowers quality.

Fem seeds should not produce seeds... Unless they hermie

i had grown from bag seed and one or more plants in a closet grow went Herman. About 100 seeds on 7 plants. Fortunately I had very good results. From what I understand the plant tries to protect the seeds by pumping out more resin. But what do I know?

I think in the past there was more of a chance of femmed seed herming, but not so much now because the breeding and methods have improved. I don't use them a lot myself, but have never had one herm, and I've read here and other places that it is pretty uncommon now. They are definitely not bred to do so. You won't get reproduction without pollination. Maybe you are thinking of self-pollination, where a second plant is not necessary if you have a herm.
