Hey Oragrow. I'm an Oregon grower too! I have several OGS strains as well. Sugar Cookies, afgani X Gorilla Grape, Amnesia Haze, Lily Koi, a Durban Poison cross ( forgot her name for it), Lebanese x Gorilla Grape cross too!
I also have a bunch of Cinex, OregonDiesel,Obama Kush and Blue Magoo.
I heard you asking about pesticides into bloom.. I swear by Neem oil. It controls pretty much everything, I've used it up until late August!

I hope you are giving plenty of love to the Oregon diesel, I wish I had done more to get that bae for this season.

The flavor is a delicious blackberry diesel pie. Which is a perfect dessert because the effects are well... put you to sleep in 1 hr or less. The ice wax this strain produces also is beautiful

that oregon diesel looks awesome would like to try it some day... whats are the Effects like?

I grew it last year too..Along with Gorilla Grape, Mastadon, Cinex and Super Lemon Haze…O.D. was everyones favorite strain that tried it..Good enough that I've got 15 O.D. Plants this year! Very smooth, mine tested at 16% THC… Cinex was 21%, and Gorilla Grape 19%.

My Oregon Diesel is already in flower..super early finisher..last year it was chopped and hanging by Sept 7th. Very mold resistant as well.

Wow... September 7th... next year I have got to try that. I wish I could have covered mine 12/12 starting July 1st to get an early finish, but that wasn't a practical schedule for me this year, maybe next year.

Crazy hot again... but everything seems to be surviving it. And apparently when they flower is not affected by the heat, one way or the other, its just a matter of light and the length of day (and genetics). I would have thought the stress might impact timing, but from what I've heard, not so much.

No. My Amnesia Hash plant is also shooting out hairs. Non of the others are as far along yet! Looking forward to see if the Nectar of the Gods lines I started using with Maxsea is as good as advertised!

My feeding routine is a half strength feeding of Maxsea Grow with Nectar for the Gods Demetres Destiny Liquid Calcium, and a Foliar feeding of Nectar for the Gods Bloom Khaos.

@oragrow -- I'm glad to see this is sort of turning into a thread for Oregon outdoor growers to compare notes, I know I can use the help and references. As the end of summer approaches, I can't wait to see some flowers start, and its good to hear (and see pics) from others when their's start.

It might be too late to make a difference, but starting tomorrow my wife and I are going to start covering one of our structures 12/12, to see if we can speed up flowering. I was told the best time to start would have been July 1st, but we couldn't commit to the schedule then. I've also been told that come September, we should be able to stop the routine, because by then the days will be short enough that they won't go back into veg. The other space we'll let go with natural lighting and see if there is a difference between the two.

I appreciate, your words of encouragement,

I'm thinking about doing light dep. on a flower as well. However, like you said it maybe too late
As 1st time grower this year , I see what needs to be tried next season.

I'm glad people stop by and give tips and so on. @calicocalyx , @atvman84
and others.

I have a BASH from OGS that is in flower mode. solid week or two.

Question, I have a flower thats growing bigger than expected and its not in stretch I think,

Would cutting about a foot off of it have any adverse conditions? is that foolish?

Yes, definitely, as a first time grower I'm also learning what I'll do differently next year. I built a sort of shelter/house for the girls while playing around with structures in the yard, focused only on protecting them from fall wind and rain. Next year it will be purpose built from the ground up. I have a peaked roof at 7 feet, a real PITA to pull a tarp over to cover and uncover. Next years the roof will have light dep capability as part of the design. Just one of about a hundred things that will be different. :)

I wish I could answer your other question, but I'll leave that to the experienced growers...
