I finally have it dialed in. It's in a grow tent in my closet and I use a window air conditioner to regulate temps. I have the light on 75% power and leave the flap half way open for air to get in better. Temps have been a steady 77-79 no higher. At full power it jumps up more. I will wait a few days maybe Wednesday I'll start adding more. I'll do a res change and make it in the 650 range. Once it gets more roots in the water and starts drinking faster I'll be good to go. It's always been easier at that point for me to give the right amount. Starting off is just been difficult for some reason

So far looking healthier. Only thing o concern is there are not any roots showing from the left one. But color is looking better so maybe they will show soon?

I really haven't seen but a tiny bit of root coming out of that one the entire time. Now I assume what was showing died out bc it wasn't healthy? I wouldn't think it'd take a cpl days of being healthy to show some though

dip a cup into the water/fert mix and pour it close to the plant, over the top of the pebbles. do this several times a day if you can. are the plants in rockwool?
your bubbling like crazy. I don't know if that helps or not. water can hold only so much oxygen.

Yeah I have some good air pumps, maybe over kill lol but everyone always says more is never bad. I'll try your suggestion. I usually donthatbwhen they first pop open till roots come through. Never thought it would need it this late but couldn't hurt. Still not seeing any roots but has to be getting something as it doesn't look like its dieing.

Things seem to be picking up finally. I have the ph maintained between 5.7-6.3.. In the morning I lower it and let it rise. It rises faster than the last grow so instead of once a day I have to check ph 3 times a day but I keep it managed. Ppm are a little over the 1k mark but seems to stay steady and no signs of nute burn or anything. Leaves are mostly dark but a hint of lighter green at the tips and edges. I assume that it could use more nutes bc of that? The other plant has roots showing now and is also starting to take off. Growth still isn't as fast as usual and I still can't really figure out what I'm getting hung up on. Never had any problems in previous grows so it's bugging me.

It just hit me but the only thing new I changed was getting the two commercial air pumps to replace the lower watt ones. Could the increase in air cause it to need more nutes than usual hence why I'm having issues? Just not giving enough food??

I bumped the ppm up to 1,090. I was reading during week 4 I would want somewhere between 950-1200 during weeks 3-4. If it goes down tomorrow I may add more. Want to see her reaction to it

I also am using a different brand of ph up and down so maybe that is the reason ph is raising so much? The other brand it stayed steady and only had to check it once every morning.

I notice the older leaves start getting rust spots on them and eventually get uglier. I thought cal def but read that happens mostly on the newer growth. Possibly from ph getting too high at times? It can get to 6.6-6.8 when I check back but it couldn't have been that way for more than a couple hours bc I check and lower it. Maybe I should check more than 3 times to make double sure it never gets that high. I always lower it back down to the 5.7-5.8 range though bc of the rise.

Water temps and ambient temps are where they need to be and rh also is the norm 50-60%

Ok so since checking the ph more frequently I noticed a big problem and I can't figure out what it is. I've read many things and still no clue. It is now 7pm and I lowered the ph to 5.3. In an hour I'll check it and I'm pretty sure it'll be over 6.0. It doesn't make sense bc the ph rises very fast on both buckets but only one is showing the rust spots and the other looks to be fine. Roots in both are white and appear to be picking up speed in growth every day. But the leaves on the one are letting me know something is wrong. And the fact I've never seen such a drastic increase in ph before. Any ideas anyone from what could cause such quick rises in ph?

Obviously from the pics there has been quite a bit of growth in the last two weeks since the last overview pic. But knowing they arent 100% healthy and being unable to fix it is really frustrating lol

Ph is now 6.6 since the 5.3 an hour ago. I read mg def is cause of rust spots but doesn't make sense to raise ph so much right?? I went and got some Epsom salt to add and see if it helps but waiting to see what you all think. Please any ideas are greatly needed! I'll change the res tomorrow and start with fresh water and nute it will help I'm sure but seeing as I just changed it last weekend I don't think it'll fix the issue
