Hey all been lurking for a while and think it's about time to get a diary going I hope some of you at least will enjoy it and help me along my way.
So here goes... I have been pondering over whether to get a tent or a cabinet to set up a scrog in my loft for a while and after lots of thinking I've ended up with a small chest freezer I've had in my shed for years!
This is only a 3x3x2 ft freezer so I plan to only have 2 plants in there to start with. I have cleaned all the inside out and that's it so far. My plan is to take out the compresser and all copper pipes, I can salvage the power box and leads to run two small intake and exhaust fans that will come out the back in the top third and run vent tubes out a hole in the roof ( I have a great vent system already built into the house that lets out humid and hot air from the kitchen and bathrooms through a exhaust which I will join my outlet too.) I plan to use 2x 26w 6500k cfl's and 2x 26w 2700k cfl's I think this will be enough light for two plants? And heat shouldn't be a problem as my loft temp is only 18-25dc and the freezer is insulated!
My questions that I have not decided in yet are what seeds to trial this set up with? And whether to go soil or soilless? Quite like to use bubbleponics but worry about humidity. Any help is encouraged and welcomed, any questions please ask and thanks for reading
