High growers . . . .

Simple lil tips n tricks we've picked up on our journey of indoor intensive horticulture; to help the generations behind us, with knowledge to keep our
COLLECTIVE magic alive . . . .

I shall start with two offerings:

Golden Arches Drinking Straws as plant support:
Cut a two inch piece, slice it length ways down one side, open it up and allow it to curl around your damaged stem . . . .as it grows, the straw expands . . . .. yessssssss!!! (From a UK grow forum)

Using your plant pot as a mold for transplanting.
So, fill your new pot with soil as normal, instead of taking out the root ball and shoving it in and building around it. Place your plant AND plant pot in your new plant pot . . . . . build and lightly compact your soil around the plant pot to a level just over the level of current soil in your old pot.
Gently lift out your old pot, with the plant still in it . . . . .. you are left with a perfect sized hole ready for a biological ammendment . . . . . Nnnnnnnnice!!!!! (Allll mine :))

Soooo any one else got any really useful little tricks to share to make all our lives a little easier?

The best tip or trick, get's my entire veganic grow schedule . . . . . . . :)

I shall announce the winner end of the year :) . . lmao . . .this will be fun . . . .come on . . . .let's help each other out . . . . .

PEACE n grow on . . . .

Awwww go on then here's another . . . . .

Low Stress Training LST
So instead of the usual four fingered approach, try the shaft of a wooden spoon. Pressing your finger on the top of the branch you want to LST, with the spoon shaft firmly pressed against the opposing side of the branch; whilst pressing, until you hear a little crack, or a give in the stem wall, roll your wooden spoon shaft up and down an inch or two . . . . . . you'll have a lovely bend and no bottle neck for metabolism . . . . . Yeah it's an oldy, but worth it for newbs . . . .

If fighting an infestation that demands a foliar application rather than a root drench, make a bucket of your stuff, big enough to dunk your entire plant into, swish it around for a few seconds . . .. TOTAL saturation!!! (Quarter the manufacturers dosage for this method though, at least)

"All my soil will fall out Fi, you bone head!!!"

Aaaaah see next post, coming soon !!!!

WATERING . . . .

When watering small plants in small pots, place a few layers of paper towel under the pot, to collect the piss ant run off . . . .

In relation to my previous thread:

The little things that help in an indoor grow room . . .

If you ever need to turn your, WHAT EVER filled container and plant upside down, for a dunking or inspection . . . . . (yup, including clay plebs); there's a simple way of doing it.

Line the top of your medium with a plastic bag, spray a limited even layer of expanding foam over the bag/bags . .. . leave it for 20 mins . . . . .rock hard surface to manipulate, without disturbing the flora / clay plebs . . .

Whapoooof!

Over watered your plant? It does happen.

Fold up a big towel and place it under your pot . . . .it'll draw excess moisture out :)

AIR COOLED REFLECTORS

When hooking up ducting to an air cooled reflector, make sure you PUSH the air through the reflector, creating positive pressure inside the hood.

Air cooled hoods are rarely perfectly air tight, so sucking air through one, can bring unwanted smells out of the exhaust ;)
