Guys, we are having an intense heat wave in the uk atm and the plants arent doing too well. They are 5 weeks into flower but i cannot get the temps in my tent below about 38c atm because we are having averages daytime temps outside of 30c min. They have started to look limp and the branches are falling over although the rest of the plant looks healthy i think it may be heat stress. They are adequetly watered. Setup is 1.2m x 2.4m mylar lined tent with 2x 600w air cooled lights. Not sure what to do about this as im only a few weeks from harvest but i dont want em to all collapse and die. What is the best course of action here?

Hey I'm uk grower too in week 4 flower almost with some nice sage bongsmilie Haveing same kinda probs but I was running my my lights at 400 watts instead of 600 and that's not going to do me any favers so I changed the 6inch outlet to a 8inc and be shocked at the diffrence I got from 36 down to 29.8 so that will do nicely. And the girls looking good for it. I agree we both want it to cool down lol but I use a super nova air cool so seems half the problem is getting the heat straight from the bulb and the other half is venting it straight out the room. Just thought I'd comment to say your not alone in the uk but hope some help if any :)

I have 4 rooms in total and their all in the one space .........so.........an AC was perfect for my needs..............(just to justify the 300 smackers)

Lol i couldnt imagine having those temps outdoors and complaining..i mean come on
Try 38°c for over 100 days and then complain.

Do houses not come with central ac over there?

Mainly my prob is my garage door ..........even on a cold crisp winters day as long as the sun is shining my g door will heat up immensely.......so.........imagine what its like on a hot summer's day..........HONESTLY and I'm not joking .......you could fry an egg on it.......has anyone else had this problem......not the heat ......the garage door being so fkn hot.......

I put my temp thingy next to it yesterday(Sun was blazing)........guess wot it maxed out at......39c.....the door Is Brown and sucks the heat in....... but come on imo that's fkn dangerously hot it would take the skin clean off any part of your body that touches it.......but.......Wot do I do phone the door company that installed it for me(New door still under 5 year warranty to complain..........they agree to fit a new one ........all they would have to do is ignore the 42 plant's in the 4 separate rooms I have running.........can you see why the £300 was worth it in the end..........and to round things off.......LMFAO..........it wasn't that long ago (3months ago)that i had to buy a fkn thermostaticly controlled heater to keep my temps up.......

Is it feasable to paint the door white ? I drove a home heating oil truck for years and learned just how much difference their was in a tank that was painted black and one that was painted white.
The black you couldnt even touch while the white you could comfortably lean all over it.

My ladies do a great job of converting heat into RH, so the room can keep up as long as there's good ventilation. More plant matter runs cooler, think of them as giant green swamp coolers... because in fact that's precisely what they are!

Try insulating the inside of your garage doors, this will help both summer and winter and won't be noticeable from outside. The materials are not heavy so it should be a quick and simple thing.
