has anyone bought this or anything similar? if so how did you like it? was everything included to do some tissue cultures?

If you buy it or something similar I would love to see it working. I was looking into thisa while back if I reremember correctly hardest part was getting right ratio of hormones vitamin , micro and macro nutrients. But this was a while back maybe now there's more info on making the right media mix.

i watched an hour long video on utube from monster gardens and it showed their smallest kit had everything you need to do ten tubes. i think in the small kit the media came premixed in the tube, all you do is cut, sterilize, rinse, rinse, cut then put it in da tube, then tape the lid, done!
looks like it will work great and be practical for a commercial grower, but not so much for a home grower

I tried tissue culture for a while but it was coffee plants not cannabis. Coffee is a bitch to clone from cuttings, but the tissue culture technique requires sterile lab conditions and I just can't turn my kitchen into a 'clean room' that easily. Some of the cultures I started showed signs that they might be forming calluses, but then they stopped growing and I eventually gave up. But I've never had any decent laboratory training, so if you know what you're doing I'm sure you can get decent results. But the question is, why would you rather do this than just taking cuttings? Doesn't it take months for the tissue culture to turn into anything that looks like a plant?

Several members contributed with their knowledge, picture and and links to free documents for further reading. Initially I was going to invest in the kit from monster gardens but I found out that the lab equipment as well as the growing media can be bought separately from other suppliers at a lower cost.

I have some of the equipment but I still need the space to set up a sterile environment for my experiments so I have to keep the project on the waiting list.

watch where you buy a kit if you do get one, the ratios of chemicals are different for cannabis than what they sell the kits for.

Check out our videos for Microclone tissue culture. We do coffee for fun in our workshops from cuttings and from seed. We created the kits in 2005 when we realized we could add food grade preservatives that make tissue culture very successful at home. I have been growing tc plants in my dining room or spare bathroom for over ten years. Sometimes I take them on trips and bring them back still growing. See Microclone tissue culture on Facebook.

This was made for home growers to store genetics, remove systemic disease, restore vigor, transport, and otherwise learn more about cultivation. Inexpensive and simple.
