I just read an old thread where members were asking me to conduct an "actual poll" of this question, so this is it

Lets see how much your political ideology affects your view and/or acceptance of *valid science

*valid science - science that has been peer reviewed and is internationally accepted as legitimate

*examples of valid science include:

-germ theory
-cell theory
-the theory of evolution
-the theory of gravity
-the theory of planetary motion
-information theory
-game theory
-oxygen theory of combustion
-special relativity
-general relativity
-quantum theory
-anthropogenic climate change
-statistical mechanics
-plate tectonics

you have already concluded your premise. Knowing the left leaning bias on this site will only verify your premise, what will this prove to You? That left leaning persons (yourself) are more accepting to Science and less to religious belief, thus; The left are more intelligent?

What would you conclude if one side chooses the acceptance of valid science and the other doesn't?

If you CARED to ask (which you don't, because you only want verification of your own beliefs) I am 'other'. You are pigeon holing brother. But to not avoid your question, given the linear direction of it, I would conclude at first sight that those that accept scientific theories whole heartedly are just as naive, as devoutly religious persons.

Well to be honest, I'm not sure if you've ever posted a poll thread on RIU, but only 10 options are available, so I had to limit it to what I felt were the most applicable choices

If you would choose 'other', I'd still like to hear your opinion in the comments

Thankyou buck. My stupidity slows my phone typing, I stand by my statement, you are as stupid as a religious nut.

Ya gotta love the irony of this post with a quote from Lenin as your signature.

Could you explain quantum theory to me? I always struggled with that.

I once heard that nobody should buy a Volkswagon Quantum because nobody understands quantum mechanics.
