Take a Look

I flush for at least 2 weeks and 3 days, the JB and DQ have a 7-8 week flower time and im on week 7, does that mean I use nutes up until week 8 and then start flushing, or is it just an estimated time? I know not to chop anything down until I see with a loupe that a majority of the trichomes have turned amber.

Don't start your flush until you see some cloudy triches. Then when you flush your 2 weeks you're not early and end up starving them for the most important last couple of weeks. It'll really crap on your yield to start early.

Are u growing in soil? Why do u flush at all? Flushing leaches out excess salts and is necessary in hydro but in soil not so much.
I don't judge though. To each his own.

But I thought even in soil you still wanna do a little flushing, does it honestly not make a difference?

Depends who you ask... Some people say 2 weeks, some 3 days, some none at all. Most that say none say proper curing is the key to good flavor and smooth smoke. Jorge Cervantes says to flush if you use chemical nutes for up to 2 weeks. But only during the "harvest window" as to not starve the plants during the critical last couple of weeks of putting on weight... And that was a recent interview from him cause he used to say no...

Did you get the cuts from dark heart? My DQ finishes in 7.5 weeks, cloudy and 20% amber. Those don't look that far along though, still looks like you got a couple weeks to go. My jilly bean is more like 8-8.5 weeks. My cuts were from dark heart. Ive grown DQ for years outdoors, I like it because of how fast it finishes. Are you light depping, indoor, or outdoor?

I like to just give them plain water for 10 days at the end

Yes, all my clones are from DHN, Im growing inside an 8x8x8 shed with 5 gallon smart pots and an 1000 watt HPS, though next grow Im gonna put up another 1000. What does light deprivation do?

Its when you cover a green house with a black tarp to manipulate the light schedule to make it 12/12 to force the plants to flower.

I guess if u use hydro store fertilizers it makes some sense. I never did. Most I ever really used was some MG. But I always started with a fertile mix to begin with so it wasn't really necessary for my method. Your end result should be the determining factor. Does your stuff smoke smooth? Is the ash white not black? In the end its your dank and you need todecide. I trust your judgement.

Just because a strain has a flower time of 7-8 weeks dosnt mean it will always be done then right? Cause there is only a week supposedly left for these two strains but I feel like they still need more time.

Yes those are just generalized times, I've found out for the most part dark heart is on point though. How you grow can play a part too. Like Ive said my DQ from dark heart has always finished at 7.5 weeks, cloudy with 20% amber.

Ive had whitefly problems. You think them little suckers are somewhat stunting my growth?

Is it a standard size door? Home depot has basic outside doors on sale right now for under $100. They seal up 100%
