What do you mean by the trich heads are ripe? Would that mean that Trichomes fall off the bud before harvest? If we harvest when trichs are ripe and full, I don't think there would be any good bud, no? I don't think they fall off from maturity, if that's what you mean, I know they don't fall off when ripe whatsoever by themselves. Do you mean they fall off easier when agitated? Does this mean that premature bud would take more agitation? That statement confused me. I think that agitation by mechanics is not necessary, at least that's what I'm noticing while making alpha tech hash. I believe a flash freeze would be best actually for the alpha tech method, but with just a freezer, a jar, some borderline frozen water with material placed in it, then frozen and thawed, truly is making nice hash and maintaining yield, with no agitation. Easy peasy.

Dry sieve is more difficult to master than ice water but the result can be as amazing check my favorite Hashishin couple @cubangrower and @cubanhashqueen they make real BOMB dry sieve.
Check Boldtbags for quality bags, you want lab grade sieve material.
I understand that you are playing around and having fun but studying the basic principles of sieving would bring more fun to the game.

I'm freezing some water in a large mason jar to make a ice lid right now. Will throw in some alpha tech material tomorrow my brain is running slow. I know I read about the ice cab, but for 5 minutes I'm asking myself how the fuck will this work?! Duh, flip the jar upside down lol. Rereading things is my passion. Will update tomorrow. And frenchy, hope my question didn't seem offensive to you. I hope you respond back. I'd love to know the reason why people freeze thier butane for bho, use ice for ice hash and freeze material before running it. Could we be using warm/water? Does the temps only have to do with stickiness of the hash being extracted?

What's the temp needed to keep Trichomes rigid and not sticky?

Maybe that's the point to chilling material/solvents

I do not work with butane and I do not freeze material. Cold is helpful when sieving but not mandatory.

I took 1 Oz of popcorn buds. Trimmed them up the best I could before the scissors broke and put it in a mason Jar.just waiting for my ice cap to melt a little and come off the top of the jar so it sits on the water. Will update later.

Well my jar broke AGAIN ugh. Lost quite a bit of stuff, got maybe 1/2 gram, I'm not sure but I'll see in the morning. I need to find a themous or something that isn't glass. I left a couple inches of empty space in the jar too.. Glass just does not work well with me, last week the glass from an air cooled light hood exploded into a million pieces just by touching it. Looked it up on Google to see wtf happened and it's called spontaneous glass explosion, what the hell are the odds lol

I wouldn't use this quality of hash for edibles, I'd use lower quality, but for 10 normal size cookies, about a gram per cookie and 1/4-1/2 a cookie is a serving

After a little cure. This is a pretty thick piece and it's still opaque
