6th Official Party Cup Grow Competition!!!!!!

Update 8: 4/24/15
Wanted to throw up a few pictures of the non-male LVBK x SourJack so that you guys and gals can see exactly why I keep holding out hope that it will wind up female. Luckily the Fool's Gold seems to be putting out more and more pistils, should start seeing the first bud development any day now, so I at least have a backup if this one doesn't wind up female (or if it takes too long to wind up anything).

And sorry to change the subject, but if I can swing it back to nodes with too many sites, I have a Quinn n' Tonic I've been growing out to be a mother that is going absolutely insane with the mutations, not only does it have some 3 leaf nodes, it even has some 4 leaf nodes, maybe more, with some alternating single nodes in between the quads. So dense it's hard to count properly, but I have definitively seen at least 4-leaf nodes (Even visible on top if you look closely, hard to see among the clustering).

So I finally got my new drivers in and back under the light and it fell again. (Damned crazy GSD playing in the area). Might put together a screen and keep em sideways like this.

My update is a day late. Let me know if I'm out. Missed what the call was on that with all the noise from the drama earlier in the thread was.

Week # 9 update

Buds have really packed on the frost. She's getting there and looking forward to the finish.

And as a added bonus my other female contestants and what they're doing. Barneys LSD, Mo's cross and pregnant Alien Bubba.

And they're living quarters along with 2 Thai plants and a white widow.

Id be declaring victory now if that were the case, Lol. The day I picked my entry I transplanted the LSD into a 2 gallon pot and she quickly took off. Lots of buds she's getting pretty frosty too. I like this strain

I fucking love that trashcan man! I wanna make one so badly! I have a question tho, do you have any issues with leaf burning when they grow into the flouro's on the sides, or do they stay cool enough to the touch that it doesn't matter? Cuz my CFL's definitely get hot enough to burn leaves if I don't watch out how close they get, so I've been looking for an alternative (right now I'm pretty sure I'll be going with those screw in 9.5w Cree bulbs, but t5 flouro's in a can like yours would be even more convenient)

Air comes in to the bottom of the can through these elbows. The exterior one (two total) is for the plant. The other 6 are for the lights themselves.



Each light bulb is inside of a clear plastic sleeve.



The sleeve is open at the top so that air passes over the bulb and out the tube.



The leaves can literally lay on top of the plastic. The whole can might be a degree or two over ambient room temp, no biggie. Air gets pulled from the top.



If you want to build one I can walk you through it. Fairly easy, made for one plant.

I grew with this thing in college. It worked well the whole way through.

Here ya'll go, I'll keep this one short on the words as I'm sure someone will update right after I post this. Keep up the good work everybody plenty of beauties out there. Exciting that we are very close to seeing our first harvest... I wonder who its gonna be, I'm thinking my girl still has 2 solid weeks left in her but we shall see.

Edit: my second and third plants are actually gg4 bag seed from when I did a monocrop. I've called it S1 in the past but I don't know if it truly is because I didn't intentionally pollinate. Either way, the seeds were popped

A few leaves are starting to get a bit crunchy...but she's still growing away, grow, grow grow...
