Japanese Maple, dug this root ball out for 2 days to get it out, another 2 years to re root it and get to this point, new puppy decimated it in one winter, he thought the branches were his chew toys and sticks. It's slowly recovering now.

Alrighty, I guess that's a pretty good start for people to get and idea of what we will be discussing in here. So the picture above is the start of me sorting seeds from last seasons breeding project that ended up with Skunk Wrecked White Widow, that I like to call Skunked Widows. Now these produced a beautiful and sexy Beast with huge nodes, solid large branching, skunk smell from veg, black barber pole stripes up the stem - that trait has come true in all the prior skunks that got me to this point. Trunks like baseball bats, so the delivery system was very large, node sites large oval and protruding at least 1/4" out from the trunk, that gives any side branching more than ample delivery and weight support for the buds to come. I then tested to see how the clones of this girl turned out. I did multiple methods of cloning with these, as I wanted to know if there Vigor was something or just a happy accident and not dna based due to it just picking it up.
So the results of that test was that no matter which way I cloned them - They went nuts in under two weeks with almost full roots, ready for up potting.
Now lets take a minute here and look at that picture in our heads. Wow here she is in person for you, She was topped for 2 Colas early on in her life to also test recovery to topping, if she stressed, if she liked it. Well this bitch liked it!
20150216_192821.jpg
And the canopy at the time this shot was taken, 2 weeks after topping.
20150216_192809.jpg
Still love seeing that canopy shot, I love the whole process of growing from beginning to end, from having my hands in my dirt, to potting them in, caring for them and watching the wonderful things they do all by themselves. MD

Okay so we saw how her vigor is pretty decent. Check.
We have great branching. Check.
We have a trunk that can send every bit of water and nutes this bitch could ever take Check!
We have Large fan leaves for light absorption and shading! Check.
Now I don't have the picture - I just can't fucking find it shit - Root ball was full, completely filling the pot, very solid tap root, nice and white tons of it. Roots solid Check
Stress tested Check
Ignore Factor tested she likes to be left alone Check
Cloning testing, vigor of new roots and shoots growth, full transfer of traits. Check
10 seed test, popped 10, 10 for 10 popped, 10 for 10 held the traits and the striping, 3 males to 7 females. Culled the whole run due to space issues, and I continued with the mom in the pics above.

Hello all, so the seeds we are discussing today are the seeds to the Skunked White Widow. When I harvested this plant I dried all the seeds together on a large sheet pan , kinda like they do the school pizza on. I get as much of the extra material off them but I will leave the wraps on them at this point - Don't fuck with them much at all with this stage of the game. I will put this in the empty oven for weeks, just don't forget them if the wifey decides to make some bread!
*Note Big Note - MICE will eat you out of seeds Brother and Sisters! Luckily it was only a few plates seeds here and there but the little bastards eat a little hole out of them some how then they leave the shells upside down on the plate WTF - damn little bastards.
Okay rant over lets move on then shall we. Now after the few weeks or more is over, I just really leave them awhile 2-4 weeks at least, I give them a shake ever once in a while when I forget. I tease people that I am the busiest and fastest crippled up guy there is ROFLOL. (Toasted Knees and a torn shoulder) Just gotta keep moving people! moving on so now I will take the seeds and put them into a strainer, like a metal one that you would rub hash through, and I gently (don't want any keeper seeds getting away from us do we) swirl them around the strainer to get the dried up outer bullshit off the seeds, but I don't force it. Then they get pill bottled for 6 or more months. Then when I get back to them is where you are coming in at for today, or at least until I got to go to lunch with the wifey and brother in law.
Now is the point where I get critical of them, if you have as many as I have to work with, if not don't be too critical, i have popped some seeds I never thought would go, the plant were runts, and sometimes mutants for awhile and then they shine - Even the dirtiest penny can be made to shine!
But since we have the abundance of seeds I can be more selective in the seeds I am selecting for Library storage as well as some for my personal seed bank, and the rest will be gifted out to friends! At this point I like to roll them all around on a large plate - my personal favorite is a large serving platter - They are fucking awesome for it, seeds, plate and a pack of whites cause the top is just to small for my hands LOL. now sift through them with the white book up the tray of your choice, tip the thing slightly to you, never away! Make a upward sweep with the book cover and walla your seeds are rolling to your belly area and the hairs, cases and rest stays at the top of the tray It's magic damn. Okay you got clean seeds now I am assuming (yup I'll be the ASS no problem HA) You want to look for the dark, nicely stripped, good looking fat seeds, Like these from Crockett Family Farms (good people there)
20150424_141708.jpg
They are nice and dark, great striping, good seeds here. Okay so all of those get there own plate to be played with at a later time, due to my time constrictions today we will not be getting to those pictures until later today if I can get wifey to work in the garden on her own, she'll forget all about me and I will take you all through my process in Pictures we all love pictures don't we, I do, I see everything in Pictures it's kinda cool!

Alright so we got a plate of Excellent seeds, now were looking for the not so excellent seeds pick all those out and they get a plate, at this point you have a pile left. Little bits of hairs, trichs and what not's lol. The fiend in me used to smoke this up usually you get a hit or two depending how much bits you got from the casings and all before - you smoked it didn't you - It's totally cool. Then the rest get the finger test, if they break when I press them there junky gone dont even think move your finger to the basket and rub, little shell chunks are a bitch to get out! What your left with is a decision keep the rest that wern't shit or chuck um. For me personally I will go through and see if there might be any - really ugly ducklings left that may just shine in the long run, and I'll keep that with my Excellent beans so I don't loose it and it makes it's way to my personal stash. I used to keep everything, but I was busy as shit working 70 hours a week, and didn't have time or patience to get to the things I am taking about now. In hindsight it was a very good thing I did that, now that I am older and growing is part of my everyday life, I can easily go through my 30 year collection of genetics and take my time to choose the best and the runts of it all, and see what kind of wonderful things we can have available to the masses openly. It really annoys me that the majority of breeding going on is for profit and or for no good FUCKING reason at all, other than to bleed the good out for the sake of "Cool Sounding Shit" That is my personal opinion - I want to make that very clear here - If you don't do something to help the natural progression of something that should be created vs something created from greed, Pack it up and Fuck Off! ***My Personal Opinion*** and I am entitled to it!

So with that run of seeds came about the girls that are going to run in the next run of the vertical 600 tent, I am thinking of vertical SCROG for these, i got the right numbers to do it right now. It will be a great test, I can do half SCROG and the Fireballs will be singles, so I can get in and do what I need, Or we can go Balls out.......................Fuck it We'll go Balls to the Wall! on this run. 2 walls of Vertical SCROG and the rest Singles.

I was so happy when I ran Breeders Boutique's Engineers Dream, the relief I got from my first plant test was Awesome, up daytime med, with great flavor, structure and it's gone already!!!! Not to worry 5 Large ladies are going to get chopped very soon, checking them daily, soon hourly.
Here was the test girl, stressed to hell, topped to shit, over fed, under lit the 600 was 1.5 years old, this run I switched to a Ushio 600 Opti-red, Love It!

That ED was so good for me - Regardless of whether it was hash or flower didn't matter, so I knew this was something I needed to add in to my runs to help my patients. Admittedly I do not have open permission from Breeders Boutique to breed with their stock! i want to be clear!
I am in the process of asking for permissions, from them and 2 other breeders, to breed with their stock.
I breed a Male ED with my Skunk Wreck Widow, I am currently finishing her up in the 600 under 11/13 light schedule.
Skunk Wreck Widow Seeded with Engineers Dream - I call her Skunked Widows Dream

Hell yes lots more surprises in store for today, went to the used book store today found 3 awesome books, 2 directly related to gardening as a whole and one purely science Score. Now the one book is super cool, cause it is a book of lectures from 80 years ago here people - priceless information were going to be able to give out now. It's called Agricultural Course - The birth of the biodynamic method by Rudolf Steiner - translated by George Adams. Very sweet score there bothers and sisters. I will type out a bunch of it here for you in order of appearance.
A small piece of the back cover for tonight I am dead tired, and I never want this week to end!

"When Rudolf Steiner gave these lectures 80 years ago, industrial farming was om the rise and organic methods were being replaced in the name of science, efficiency and technology. With the wide spread alarm over the quality of food in recent years, and the growth of the organic movement and it's mainstream acceptance, perceptions are changing. The qualitative aspect of food is once again on the agenda, and in this context Rudolf Steiners' only course of lectures on agriculture is critical to the current debate."

OOOOO that's going to be good! Good Night Universe!

After obtaining permission to post this here is the email I received back from Oregon Green Seed Company.

Thanks for the consideration and taking a minute out of your time to ASK.

This plant and my work with it has been my passion for over the last 40 years. My other passion, lasting just as long, is helping to get 'better medicine' into the hands of those who either need it, appreciate it, or both.

So... by all means use my work/genetics to make your medicine better. That's what its all about.

Nobody OWNS the plant. We can take credit for the work we DO with the plant to make it better. But the PLANT and the whole of all cannabis genetics with its identified and yet-to-be identified phenotypes belongs to ALL of us.

Grow with Gusto and Keep it green,

Deb

Hello again Universe, how are you all this fine day, I am still floating on a cloud so we roll on!
In contemplating the events and finds of this past week, i have put a few things together that I guess I was meant to discover. Through the years different people's have tried unsuccessfully to buck the corporate system of greed in place that has buried much of the information the whole of us is totally uncovering for the good of everyone involved. I believe now is the most receptive time in the history of the planet, towards our cause of trying to get the "Powers that be" to release out beloved plant from the evil grips of oppression. I present you what I believe to be The Native American's version of "Bio-Dynamic" growing. Can anyone else post some up they can find for me? I would really like to see if this is a world wide staple in older cultures!
