This seems like as good a place as any to drop a link:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25398831

NIDA has incorporated this study on the effects of THC & CBD in conjunction with radiation to destroy glioma into their "Is marijuana medicine?" factsheet.

It is the only study they actually cite, which is mind-boggling, but at least they now admit it, too.

I really believe the fix is in. Obama moves weed to Schedule 2 on his way out of office.

Big Pharma moves in and creates non psychoactive medication.

Because of the pharmaceutical requirements of schedule 2 drugs, smoking flower, concentrates and home growing remains federally illegal.

The next administration has the political cover to say " well, we've legalized marijuana based medications, now the states will repeal their weed laws or we turn off the funding."

It's going to be difficult for them to make a synthetic, non-psychoactive version when it is combinations of THC and CBD which do the heavy lifting. They are still uncertain about all the other cannabinoids, as well. However, the one thing that is known is they do not work as well on their own.
It is all about synergy...
