Ok so I've had this planned for a while. I found the drawer about 2 years ago and just now got around to this build. The most important tool to have is very strong metal snips....

1. Metal snips
2.windshield cover (dollar store)
3. Pc fans
4. Dc power supply
5. 3 socket splitters

The rest you can figure out....image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I agree as to have very strong metal snipps, i cut 1/8 to 1/6th aluminum/steel almost on the daily. With 1/12 or 1/16 a dremel would have done you nice perfect holes for them fans. How are you planning on blocking the light through the fans?

Btw, not trying to tell you what to do but i would highly reccomend a grounded 3 prong plug if your going to mount that cfl fixture to the metal cabinet.

Anything metallic that only has a 2 prong plug (hot/neutral) actually has a high risk of electrical shock if it were to ever short out or burn out ect.

With that 3rd ground prong, any shorting of metallic housings will become directly grounded to the 3rd prong. If it only has 2 prongs, shorts out and you touch it while standing on your carpet ZAP!

I can fit a 5 gallon buck inside if needed. I plan on moving the blueberry headband and the white widow to the box. They we're stunted from being outside with lack of light. They were flowering. So now I've been re verging them to get more size.

Your right. I was just using what was in the house. The box is not done yet.

Ok, just wanted to make sure you knew since you never said anything about it. As vos said, it is a fire hazard. I couldnt let it slide as i have had my MECP Masters for some time.

Get yourself a bunch of books/plastic boxes to sit your plants on top. As they get taller, remove books.

If you find out you like growing, get a tent that will fit in your bedroom/closet so you can hang a carbon filter and up your yield.

You won't need a five gallon bucket. Do two 2 gallons, veg the plants till they are 3-4 weeks old. Top them for four. This will keep them small enough. Give em too much room and time to stretch out roots you will outgrow your box.

No I didn't plan on using a 5 gallon bucket. I have 3 gallon bags and I m only using half of it. So about a 1- 1 1/2 gallons. The metal box is what I had at the house. I now have a few plastic ones. I have to get a few extension cords...

I have a grow going in my closet right now and I do enjoy growing. This is my 3 rd grow. Just having been anywhere long enough to get a nice set up
